Customer Questions & Answers

is the "shaft" included with the blower head?

is the "shaft" included with the blower head? If not, how do this connect to the power head?
Asked by: stillnaive
No, you won't need a shaft because the blower head is very large. It is balanced with the PAS gas unit.

Difference between this and the 99944200490AB

Other than a few dollars in cost, what is the difference between this blower attachment (99944200490) and the 99944200490AB? Which one is best for my PAS-230?
Asked by: PopeJohnII
There is no product difference between the #99944200490AB and #99944200490; they are the same products. The "AB" at the end of the model, is one of Home Depot's packaging codes.

Customer Reviews

PAS Blower Attachment is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 84.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Versatile Yard Tool As a first timer to two-stroke equipment, I was somewhat unsure about whether the PAS Trimmer/Edger was right for me - thankfully, I took the plunge because this tool is fantastic! The rugged design makes operating this equipment comfortable and easy. The crank start is so easy - my toddler could probably start it up. I bought the blower attachment because I wanted to ditch the extension corded electric blower that made blowing leaves and cut grass an aggravating, time consuming activity. The blower attachment connects in seconds and it puts out plenty of air for what I need (leaves and other yard debris).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Internal failure cut useful life short I've had this attachment for a few years. It's been used sporadically and not subject to what I would consider abusive treatment for a consumer product. The blower began to vibrate and lose efficiency. Today, based upon parts catalog examination and removing the blower tube, I determined the cause of the failure appears to be a broken tab on the stator (post-impeller air guide) outer ring which is supposed to anchor it in place when the fan case is closed. If the stator is free to rotate, excessive vibration and loss of efficiency (air velocity) occurs. Due to the high cost of parts and shipping, it's cheaper to discard the entire attachment. I recommend other Echo attachments but not 99944200490.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, plenty of power Bought this unit about a month ago, love it. My inlaws had one, the 266, and I had to get one. It has plenty of power for me as a homeowner. So far I only have the trimmer and blower attachments, pleased with everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says This is week 3 of having a weed eater leaf blower attachment. So far all is great. Wish the blower was a bit stronger, but it might have more to do with the small size of my weed eater's engine. All in all pretty good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Tool When my Echo blower/vac had to go in for major repairs ( which Echo covered, even 5 weeks weeks from the end of my 5 year warranty), I added this blower to my Echo power head tool set. It was a great addition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! Great product for the do-it-yourself homeowner who doesnt want to pay full price for a stand alone blower!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Axial fan blower attachment I bought this blower to use with a 58volt lithion battery power head, It works OK but it overloads the motor when run on high speed. Burried deep in the power head manual it states the two are not compatible. So rebuilt my Gasoline power head and it works just great when attached to that. I was hoping to get away from 2 stroke gas edgers and trimmers and switch to cordless electric. The technology it getting there but not in this application. But I do like the way it works with the Gasoline motor. It is just louder than electric.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does what I wanted it for I bought this about 6 weeks ago and have used it about 4-5 times now. I use it to blow off the driveway after mowing, trimming, and edging. It does that just fine. It doesn't produce a lot of CFM like other electric or gas ones but it does the job I wanted it for just fine. I wouldn't try to blow leaves in the yard or anything like that but for cleaning sidewalks and driveways it works just fine
