I bought some property last year and the back of it was all grown up on the bank of the bayou the borders the back property line. It was mostly full of thick green reeds, small saplings, briars and vines. The weedeater string was no match for this so I needed to find another option as the bank was too steep to run a bush hog on it. I tried spraying the reeds, but they are notoriously hard to kill. I decided it was worth risking a hundred bucks if this thing could make life easier, and I'm sure glad I did. This thing eats anything you put in front of it. I haven't used it enough to say how long the blades last, but if I have to go through 10 blades with this thing to get the job done I'll do it as it makes it that easy. The assembly instructions aren't very great, but with a little thinking you can figure it out. The only thing I'm disappointed with is the quality of the guard. It seems a little flimsy for the amount of abuse that the blade is capable of withstanding. If you find yourself with some serious brush to clear, don't hesitate to spend the hundred dollars and get this. You'll be glad you did. Also, I have the PAS-225 and it is more than capable of powering the cutter.

Only downside is that assembly instructions were not included. However, you can figure out how to put it together by looking at the diagram/picture and thinking it through. Works even better than I thought it would clearing tall grass and brush up to 1" thick. I have a PAS 225 and even though that is the smaller power source, it still works great. Used it this past weekend to clear some palms and small brush with no issues. It was a very good purchase. Before and after photos attached.

Very well built product, easy to use. The quick disconnect is very well build and easy to slide in and out of the power head to lock down the tool. as you can see by the picture, I cleared the whole back of my lot, 80 feet , in about 30 minutes.

I bought this after a friend said it works well. I put it to the test right away and was zipping through the tall weeds and saplings like they were butter. I was truly amazed on its performance.

I purchased this attachment after tiring myself in a string of 90 degree days using a hand sickle on the overgrowth backing my property. The attachment was a game changer, allowing me to clear the area quickly and reducing the risk of a heat stroke.

This is a dream piece of equipment. My property is acres of trees, the undergrowth of which is a jumble of different kinds of vines, wild blackberry, wild rose, barberry and tree seedlings and young saplings. An impassable jungle. This attachment on the Echo engine cuts through it all. It's not easy, but it works where nothing else ever has -- except a Bobcat Brush Hog which cost me $600 to rent for one day. I live in hope now that I will be able to reclaim areas of my property that I had given up to the jungle.

I needed something to cut sand plum trees and brambles off my pasture fence line. There were other more expensive options out there but I didn't want to spend big money. This cutter does very well. It takes a bit of time on the big stuff (over and inch across) but it cuts right through the brambles. I would definitely buy this again. The only draw back was I payed $99 on line for it and then found it at the store for $49.

The PAS Brushcutter works great. Cuts and slices vines, briars, and saplings with ease. Also works well on Copperheads hanging out in vegetation you're cutting!
