Answer:
It was not in TX. I was forced to order it from the website. I had it shipped to store for free, took a little over a week. That was one of my customer service complaints. Should be available @ the store.

Presently working for Home Depot as part of the MET team, I have not physically seen this item in any of the four stores that we service. That does not necessarily mean that it is not there. Answer:
You need to remove the head of the trimmer using a Torx bit screwdriver. Loosen and remove the center screw, do not lose it, this locks the head in place. Then loosen the 2 screws on the sides, it will slide right off. You then need to remove the handle completely. Slide the sleeve with the ring up the shaft to above where you will reinstall the handle. Just leave it loose for now with the ring dangling. Read More
You need to remove the head of the trimmer using a Torx bit screwdriver. You can then reattach the handle and the head. The washers on the screws on the head have flat spots in them that have to align to allow it to go back on the shaft, you will get your finger a little greasy but just use your finger to put the flat spots on the washers in place to allow the shaft to slide back on. If you have had the trimmer for a while and used it, put a little white lithium grease in there to assist. Put the alignment screw back in the center, aligning with the center hole, tighten, then tighten the 2 screws on the sides. You can then put the strap on, attach to the ring you put on the shaft and find the balance point for you. Once you find the balance point, hold the sleeve in place and tighten with the ring @ the top. Then go break a sweat in the yard. :-) Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Null Great product !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Waist strap too small. I am a large person at 6'2" and nearly 300 ponds. The shoulder strap is adjustable so it fits me. The waist strap is another matter. It is too short to fit me. I can just barely fasten it if I pull really hard on it but it is way too uncomfortable to use in this fashion so I'll just have to forego using the waist strap and just use the shoulder strap. I wish they had made this strap adjustable or at least 4 or 5 inches longer so I could use it. September 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beats carrying it everywhere Bought this for my new Echo string trimmer. Mounts at a perfect balance point for easy operation. Has a large red warning label for people behind you that your swing radius is large. Many would remove it, but I have a lot of bikers/joggers/dog walkers in my area. Heavy duty, and a quick release lever for emergencies. Only issue is I had to remove the whole string head to get the bracket on, but it went OK. Too bad these aren't in the store. Yet. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Its Ok I was expecting more support, my right arm was getting sore so I purchased this to alleviate it, it transferred the problem to my left shoulder. So I am either not using it correctly or it is a design failure. I find myself fighting it, so I don't use it. If anyone wants to purchase it, let me know July 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's ok but not perfect Shoulder strap is adequate but not perfect. Pros: quality of parts, fits well, easy disengage feature. Cons: Straps are too narrow for comfort and lacks padding for shoulder To use for an hour or so it's ok but not to use all day as the thin straps will mark your shoulder/neck area. July 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bit awkward Built strong but a bit awkward to use. Took some work to get attachment ring onto trimmer shaft. Mostly putting the head back on. The belt around the waist does not work so well, I just tie it on. As far as usefulness...a big help and it seems to be sturdy. July 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by i thought it was cheaply made I thought it was cheaply made and it was more difficult then need be to put on the trimmer or off June 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best deal. Should be availabe in store. Also the big warning sign is a joke and the waist strap is of no use. After making changes; removing sign and cutting the waist strap off it did what it was designed to do, help support the trimmer. June 17, 2014
