The manual lists these run times:
Low speed - 120 minutes
High speed - 22 minutes
Boost speed - 15 minutes
For my use I've found I normally run 2-3 clicks below high speed (unlike my handheld blower that was almost always on high), so for "normal" work I get more than 22 minutes.

I have a half acre with a 200 foot driveway and many trees. I cleaned my entire property, maybe 20 to 30 minutes of run time and the battery still showed full charge. I haven't taken it to work yet for a long test but from what I have tried so far it should last quite a while.

Scott, I can only answer this based on its performance when compared to my gas Stihl and wimpy 36v battery Toro blowers; maybe. The EGO has power equal to my gas, and superior to my older battery blower. Here in CT, if the snow is dry, the answer will be yes, but if it is wet no, which is most of the time here. I do blow dry my vehicles after washing, rather than towel dry.

145 MPH 600 CFM 56-Volt Lithium-Ion 5.0 Ah Cordless Backpack Blower is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 20 minutes, that's all you get I really want to like this product. The battery gives you 20 minutes. 20 minutes! That barely puts a dent in a reasonable sized lot during leaf season. The product is good. Slightly under powered, but acceptable, right up until the battery dies at 20 minutes and you have a huge leaf pile you now have to rake and 3/4 of a yard left untouched. The product should sell at this price with a high capacity battery or at least 3 batteries and chargers to be at all competitive. It's really too bad. I wish this was not the case. Apparently the technology isn't quite there yet.

It has at least as much power as my gas-powered backpack blower, plus it's much quieter and lighter. The one drawback is the limited battery life. When I use it a full strength (without using the turbo), it lasts less than 30 minutes. I've got a little over an acre with lots of trees and a long gravel driveway. Thirty minutes doesn't even come close to getting me halfway through the job. I could buy a second battery to extend my work, but that's another $200! Funny how the blower WITH battery costs $300, but the same blower WITHOUT battery costs $200. Doesn't that mean that the battery should cost just $100?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ego Power backpack 5ah battery I bought this about a week ago and I also have the greenworks 80v blower. The backpack blows greenworks away! I did have a inop 5ah battery that EGO is sending a replacement for (US representative). This company backs their products FACT. These kick Greenworks/Kobalt out of market FACT. Products look, feel and perform better FACT LOL. Try one and you loose the gas engines noise and upkeep. PS I never write reviews but I made an exception to this company because they deserve it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Was Blown Away By The Power, Quality And Fantastic Run Time! After already purchasing the Ego 21" Mower with 7.5ah battery and the Ego String Trimmer with 5.0ah battery, I was seriously craving the Ego Blower that I saw in Home Depot during the same visit, but alas I have a good eye for stuff that is state of the art (aka pricey haha), so I put it on my holiday list. Imagine my delight when I saw this new, upgraded, enhanced Ego Backpack Blower only about two months after purchasing my other Ego equipment! I of course made sure to fully charge my mower battery in preparation of having this blower delivered. As soon as the day came, I told my boss I was heading out early, raced home, unpacked it, plugged in my 7.5ah battery (the included 5.0ah battery would have taken time to charge) and started blowing all the leaves on the driveway. Initially, this caught me the wrath of my wife who chastised me for using the blower when she was trying to take a nap. Later that day though, she let me show her the blower and she admitted it didn't sound as loud close up as it had through the upstairs window. Now I could go on and on about this blower, but I think the 5 minute long 4K video review with my Father-in-law using it to clear my driveway (It exceeds my weight limit after back surgery last week) will seal the deal for you. Also, keep in mind that he didn't even use the Turbo mode during the video! The only odd part of this blower, not that it is a negative since 99% of people really won't go below max non-turbo speed setting, is that the speed setting switch only travels halfway to the smallest green bar on the speed guage sticker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Powerful Backpack Blower! Oh yeah! Man, this product ROCKS! No gasoline, no oil, just charge the battery (5.0 a/h) and GO! The device is rugged and so is the stout battery and charger. Looks like it belongs on a tank. Wow. It is extremely powerful and when you need a huge boost in power, hit the turbo button; reminds me of Ironman movies where they burst into the air. I used to just push a broom to cleanup my yard after mowing and edging but now I see the advantage of a blower like this - very faaaaaaaaaaast to cleanup. And it is so much quieter and clean than a gas powered one. This is how products should be made. I do have one suggestion though - the battery only has one led that changes color to indicate the battery charge status. It would be much much better if they used 4 led lights in a row like Ridgid and Ryobi do. It makes it easier to know when to stop and charge without depleting the lithium-ion battery which is something you never want to do. I am enjoying using this new tool; you will too. There ya go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very powerful, easy to use, but hard to store I purchased the original EGO handheld leaf blower last year and thought it was one of the best purchases I'd ever made. It made clearing my deck and driveway easy, and charging it up took just 20-25 minutes. When I had the opportunity to order the new EGO Backpack Blower, I thought it might improve upon some of the shortcoming of the original model. I tried both out, with one in each hand, which made me feel a bit like "The Terminator". But it also allowed me to get a back-to-back comparison. The Backpack blower is just slightly more powerful, probably not enough to make it worth it on its own. But what I found was that the longer nozzle allowed me to position it much closer to the ground, in turn allowing me to target leaves much more accurately. This nozzle length wasn't feasible with the handheld model because you'd hit the ground too often as there was nothing assisting you in holding it up. Now the backpack bears the weight. So overall, I really like this model, but to get another point of view, I had my wife try both. Here were her impressions: - when she used the handheld model, within 30 seconds she complained that it was hurting her wrist and she had to hold it with two hands. That made it awkward to point in the right direction. Basically, she didn't enjoy using it. - when she tried out the backpack model, the first words out of her mouth were "yeah, this is A LOT better!". She was comfortable clearing the whole driveway, and looked like she was actually having fun. She commented that the backpack seemed to be sized for a man (she has all straps at maximum tightness), but she was still able to use it comfortably. She guessed that a really petite woman would find the backpack to be too large, and likely couldn't get a good fit. On a positive note, the adjustable trigger positions (it slides forward and back, as well as side to side), allowed her to find a comfortable position for her elbow and forearm, which was different than the way I had it set up (her arms are shorter). Overall, if you're a woman who's of at least average height, this EGO Backpack Blower will be usable, whereas you'd likely find the handheld model too tiring to use for extended periods. Men will likely also find the Backpack Blower easier to use for long periods. While I often used my handheld model for 20 minutes at a time, I'd feel it in my shoulder the next morning. That doesn't happen with the Backpack model! One last positive about the Backback Blower: it comes with EGO's new 5Ah 56V battery, which holds a lot more juice than the 2Ah or 2.5Ah 56V batteries the handheld models included. Now, not everything's perfect here, so I'm going to point out a few negatives: (1) one drawback to the EGO design hasn't changed: the nozzle is really large in diameter, which means the air just isn't as directed as it could be. I assume EGO has done tests with smaller nozzles and found they cause too much restriction, but somehow I feel when this much air is being blown, leaves should be moved faster than they are. It's still quite good, of course, but I feel a lot of the air (and power) is wasted blowing above the surface you're clearing. (2) this model is far more expensive than the handheld models, and I question whether it really costs all that much more to manufacture. Part of it can definitely be attributed to the ultra-high-end battery, but I think some people would be happy with a lower capacity battery at a lower price (I'd guess it would cut the cost by $50). (3) I don't like the new charger design. While the old charger stood up vertically, allowing you to drop the battery down and not take up much space on your workbench, the new charger lays flat, meaning you have to slide the battery in from the front, and the whole setup takes up much more space on your table. Maybe EGO did this to make the battery a bit easier to remove (which it is), but I don't like the trade-off. (4) this model is really hard to store. I still haven't figured out exactly where it's going to go during the winter. It's just far bulkier than the handheld model, which could be easily tucked in a corner. All that being said, this product is really well designed overall and makes leaf blowing enjoyable. I can't imagine why anyone would ever buy a gas-powered blower over this one. All the power with none of the fumes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, easy to use and easy on the ears The EGO Model LB6002 blower is a well thought out and it performs very well. At just over 17 pounds with the battery this blower is easy on the back even after extended use. The harness system is adjustable in two places horizontally (waist and chest) as well as two vertical adjustments on each shoulder. I was able to strap it on my 6 foot 3 inch frame with no difficulty and I was able to adjust it down to fit my nine year old. He was able to handle the weight without difficulty and asks to use the blower on a daily basis. The product was easy to assemble. Attach two extension tubes and adjust the location of the trigger mechanism (if needed). We didn’t twist the tubes completely the first time and they fell off, but a little more twisting action and they seated properly. The front tube has two different locking positions to allow adjustment of how close the tube is to the ground. Harness adjustment is very easy. Pull tight on the straps and to loosen just pull up on the clips. The pivot for the blower fan and core tube is a welcome design. It allows the weight to transfer to the harness instead of one’s arm and it removes the fight against a semi rigid bent hose to the main assembly. The trigger mechanism works smoothly and is intuitive. It also requires a lock off lever be pushed before the trigger will function. The speed lever on the handle is easy to adjust with one’s thumb. It doesn’t have much range so speed ramps up from the low end to the high end fairly quickly. The logo on the handle for the lever implies much more range so I originally thought the lever was broken. For an added blast of power one can engage the boost button with their thumb. Low speed is 260 CFM, 50 MPH with 120 minutes of run time on the 5.0 Ah battery. High speed is 500CFM, 100 MPH and 22 minutes of run time. Boost mode is 600 CFM, 120 MPH and 15 minutes of run time. The blower without battery is 12.5 pounds. The included 5.0 Ah battery weighs 4.87 pounds. I found the blower very powerful. I quickly learned to be careful with speed of blower and distance from objects as it easily blew dirt out of my plant beds and even flipped over a rug with a large, full dog water bowl on top of it. The included charger will require 100 minutes to fully charge a 5.0 Ah battery. The battery has a light that shows three colors (red, yellow and green) to indicate current charge level. The charger has two LEDs to indicate charging/completed and battery issues (too hot/cold). A replacement battery currently costs more than two thirds of the price of this blower kit. A rapid charger is available for purchase and it would have been a better kit if the rapid charger had been included instead of the standard charger. If you have other EGO products, the blower can use five different 56V battery sizes (2.0 Ah, 2.5 Ah, 4.0 Ah, 5.0 Ah and 7.5 Ah). Overall, I am extremely pleased with the EGO backpack blower and highly recommend it. The price for the kit might be out of reach for some, but it should provide many years of service.
