Does it really include the Power+Rapid Charger? EGO website indicates it is a Power+Standard Charger. Just purchased the 5Ah and Rapid Charger (backordered) separately. Could use the additional run time. The 7.5Ah and the Rapid charger would be great for the price difference.
Asked by: Steve
Rapid charger takes 40 minutes to hour to charge 7.5A. I selected 7.5A battery, so it came with Rapid charger. Perhaps they have other chargers for smaller batteries.

What is the run-time with the 7.5Ah battery?
Asked by: Ron
it depends on the speed you run the blower. if you run it out full speed, then you are looking at about 20 to 30 minutes, if you back t off to medium you can probably get and hour or more

145 MPH 600 CFM 56-Volt Lithium-Ion 7.5Ah Cordless Backpack Blower is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 20 minutes, that's all you get I really want to like this product. The battery gives you 20 minutes. 20 minutes! That barely puts a dent in a reasonable sized lot during leaf season. The product is good. Slightly under powered, but acceptable, right up until the battery dies at 20 minutes and you have a huge leaf pile you now have to rake and 3/4 of a yard left untouched. The product should sell at this price with a high capacity battery or at least 3 batteries and chargers to be at all competitive. It's really too bad. I wish this was not the case. Apparently the technology isn't quite there yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and worthy gas replacement EGO Backpack Blower Review. Having used the handheld 480 and 530 EGO Blowers, I just knew that the new high powered battery powered backpack blower was for me. A little background on my yard. I have about ¾ of an acre. My front yard has a few trees, but my side and back yard are completely covered with trees. My cleanup can run into a 4 to 5 hour ordeal with leaves, 6 to 10 times a year. It’s a ridiculous amount of time which I fight with, because I do not enjoy clearing fallen leaves and debris. Unpacking the blower is a pain, but the reward is that it is put together rather easily. I was quite surprised with the benefit of a retractable and removable extension tube. This makes storing the blower really easy as it takes up a lot less space when the 2nd tube is removed for storage. On to the most important thing, using this blower. Ergonomics: 1st off I was a bit turned off at all of the safety straps. But they are on all the new blowers sold these days. I cut off the mid strap and left the bottom, as it’s only slightly useful. The backpack itself is weighty because it holds the 7.5ah battery, but nowhere the weight of a gas engine with a tank of gas. Once you get the height of the shoulder straps adjusted and get things at the height you are comfortable, the unit sits comfortably on the body. The handle can easily be adjusted up and down the tube so you can find a comfortable length, as easy as a twist knob, and it doesn’t come loose. Over all the unit is comfortable and doesn’t stress the shoulders or back, and when properly adjusted puts your arm in a comfortable and pain free position. Use: Ok, let me just say I’m still in awe at the power. Did I say it has a lot of power? Comparing to my Makita Backpack Blower, this unit puts out a bit more CFM and less MPH. What does this mean? It has no problem moving a LOT of debris! I can move larger piles of leaves and twigs because it simply pushes more volume of air. CFM is air volume, MPH is air speed. Speed is more helpful with little things like clippings and small things that tend to stick to rough surfaces. But, EGO offers a flat tip that takes care of that too. I had no problems moving a large amount of damp, clumpy old leaves and branches. Yes I said branches. When using the unit and you hit some really nasty clumped up stuff, hit that turbo, and off it goes. I kept my back yard completely clean for the first year in 20 years of owning this home, why? It was much easier. I didn’t have to go get fresh fuel for my blower, no problem starting a cold mower, only needed 2 charges to do my whole yard, and finally, I finish my yard in under an hour. Summary: The EGO backpack blower deserves 5 stars, and I’m not just saying this because I own it. If it was less worthy, I would say so. I only have one recommendation to EGO, put a cruise control lever on the unit. Pro’s: * Great power, easy to use * Easy storage * Much lighter than a gas-powered blower * Comfortable ergonomics * Grab it and go. * Great value when purchased with the 7.5ah battery Con’s: * Too many safety features (this is my opinion only on these) * Would like cruise control.

I originally bought the 5Ah version as I didn't even realize they had a 7.5 version. I LOVE this bad boy. I have almost half an acre and the 5Ah couldn't quite finish the job this fall without needing a recharge. I'm returning the 5Ah for the 7.5 and I'm hoping that should complete the half acre without a recharge. I'm sure the extra 2.5Ah will be worth the extra $100 in the end. It's much more powerful than the starter plug-in blower I had before but gives me the flexibility to move around the house without extension cords. I'm a new homeowner so I get to start fresh. Not having to deal with gas and all the other moving parts was appealing to me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed I bought he 21in self-propelled mower and couldn't be happier. I decided to go all EGO and buy the backpack blower as well. It came with the 5h battery. The power is really not very impressive unless you use the turbo and then the battery only lasted about 15 minutes. As much as I love the mower; I wouldn't recommend the backpack blower. The performance just doesn't make up for the bulkiness while using, and the extra spaces needed when storing.

For the last ten years I have used a STIHL back pack blower to clear leafs off pachysandra, vegetable and perennial gardens; for the lawn I use my wheeled leaf blower which has more than ample power. I was getting tired of the noise, the weight, spark plugs, gas/oil mix and repeated pulls to start the unit. The EGO was a dream come true and I sold my STIHL. Unfortunately, now I have something akin to seller's remorse. The EGO comes well packaged, it is well designed, the battery slips in and out easily and when you push the handle, it starts to hum with power. Oh, how I wanted it to be a worthy replacement for the gas blower. The power on Turbo is not great, but adequate (I don't understand why there is not a locking feature on the Turbo button?). It takes longer to blow out leafs than with the STIHL. Time, however is not on your side. After barely 20 minutes on Turbo, the battery is dead and for an hour and a half, the unit is the proverbial $300 paper weight. What do you do in the meantime when you barely did a quarter of the area you wanted to do? Well, I went to Home Depot to get another battery. I was shocked at the $129 price tag, but OK I bought it, charged it up and continued for a total of 8 minutes! Oops, that was a 2.0AH battery and not the longer lasting 5.0AH which goes for $200 plus! Live and learn. There are batteries which cost well over the cost of the whole unit. Unfortunately, limited running time is the Achilles heel of battery operated equipment and the EGO is no exception. You need 2 additional batteries plus another rapid charger for it to approach the run time of a gas blower. By that time, you have invested close to $1,000 dollars, which is twice the price of a very powerful gas blower. Yes, you do not have to pull any cords and it is easier on your ears, but as much as I love the EGO, I just cannot justify the expense. It is a great machine if you just want to blow out the garage or the driveway, but for more difficult uses, the battery does not last nearly long enough .If the unit came standard with at least two batteries and the third one was priced reasonably, then I think you would have a winner on your hands. But I suspect that you hardly make any money on the kit and thus have to charge a lot for the batteries in order to survive. Battery operated equipment is the future, but just not yet.

Triggering is a bit of a stretch for variable blow but not a real problem (it doesn't change when you don't want it to). Plenty of power when you need it. I wonder that there isn't an attachment to concentrate or shape the airflow but it's pretty good as it is really. Pricey of course but good tools are right? I'd buy it again for sure. It does the job well and it's convenience is outstanding. I have a bigger yard so two large batteries are required for dependable work. Sure hope these batteries prove to be safe. I recommend storing them with great care - there is a lot of energy there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blower Excellent product. Battery last long enough to complete my entire property which is over an acre. This blower is very light and also quite compared to any other blower I have used. This thing has tons of power. The design with the motor in the pipe hose allows for better movement over any other backpack I have used.

I have a very large backyard, 2 acres, I can blow most of it with this blower. The battery recharges very quickly, about 45 minutes. It's really surprising how strong it is for a battery powered blower. I wish it had the ability to switch the handle for left hand use. And, I wish it had a nozzle accessory to concentrate the air. Overall very pleased with this purchase.
