Product Overview

The new EGO POWER+ Backpack Blower delivers the power and performance of gas without the noise, fuss and fumes. Customer Questions & Answers

is there a bag attachment for sucking leaves up

Asked by: Bill
No, it's just a blower. The best way to take care of the leaves after blowing them off my sidewalk is I either run them over with my mulching mower or I just use a rake and some bags and bag them up.

Why does Model # LB6000 cost a full hundred dollars less than Model # LB6002?

The only difference i can see is that it's 530 CFM instead of 600 CFM. What am I missing?
Asked by: Steve
If it's a "bare" unit, you don't get a battery or charger. EGO assumes you already have another EGO product. All EGO products use the same charger.

If there is no charger included, how am I supposed to recharge the unit?

Asked by: tim
You must buy the unit with a charger and battery if yo have no charger. Buy at least the 5.0 amp battery and charger. It all sells at Home Depot for $299.00

145 MPH 600 CFM 56-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Backpack Blower - Battery and Charger Not Included is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and worthy gas replacement EGO Backpack Blower Review. Having used the handheld 480 and 530 EGO Blowers, I just knew that the new high powered battery powered backpack blower was for me. A little background on my yard. I have about ¾ of an acre. My front yard has a few trees, but my side and back yard are completely covered with trees. My cleanup can run into a 4 to 5 hour ordeal with leaves, 6 to 10 times a year. It’s a ridiculous amount of time which I fight with, because I do not enjoy clearing fallen leaves and debris. Unpacking the blower is a pain, but the reward is that it is put together rather easily. I was quite surprised with the benefit of a retractable and removable extension tube. This makes storing the blower really easy as it takes up a lot less space when the 2nd tube is removed for storage. On to the most important thing, using this blower. Ergonomics: 1st off I was a bit turned off at all of the safety straps. But they are on all the new blowers sold these days. I cut off the mid strap and left the bottom, as it’s only slightly useful. The backpack itself is weighty because it holds the 7.5ah battery, but nowhere the weight of a gas engine with a tank of gas. Once you get the height of the shoulder straps adjusted and get things at the height you are comfortable, the unit sits comfortably on the body. The handle can easily be adjusted up and down the tube so you can find a comfortable length, as easy as a twist knob, and it doesn’t come loose. Over all the unit is comfortable and doesn’t stress the shoulders or back, and when properly adjusted puts your arm in a comfortable and pain free position. Use: Ok, let me just say I’m still in awe at the power. Did I say it has a lot of power? Comparing to my Makita Backpack Blower, this unit puts out a bit more CFM and less MPH. What does this mean? It has no problem moving a LOT of debris! I can move larger piles of leaves and twigs because it simply pushes more volume of air. CFM is air volume, MPH is air speed. Speed is more helpful with little things like clippings and small things that tend to stick to rough surfaces. But, EGO offers a flat tip that takes care of that too. I had no problems moving a large amount of damp, clumpy old leaves and branches. Yes I said branches. When using the unit and you hit some really nasty clumped up stuff, hit that turbo, and off it goes. I kept my back yard completely clean for the first year in 20 years of owning this home, why? It was much easier. I didn’t have to go get fresh fuel for my blower, no problem starting a cold mower, only needed 2 charges to do my whole yard, and finally, I finish my yard in under an hour. Summary: The EGO backpack blower deserves 5 stars, and I’m not just saying this because I own it. If it was less worthy, I would say so. I only have one recommendation to EGO, put a cruise control lever on the unit. Pro’s: * Great power, easy to use * Easy storage * Much lighter than a gas-powered blower * Comfortable ergonomics * Grab it and go. * Great value when purchased with the 7.5ah battery Con’s: * Too many safety features (this is my opinion only on these) * Would like cruise control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 20 minutes, that's all you get I really want to like this product. The battery gives you 20 minutes. 20 minutes! That barely puts a dent in a reasonable sized lot during leaf season. The product is good. Slightly under powered, but acceptable, right up until the battery dies at 20 minutes and you have a huge leaf pile you now have to rake and 3/4 of a yard left untouched. The product should sell at this price with a high capacity battery or at least 3 batteries and chargers to be at all competitive. It's really too bad. I wish this was not the case. Apparently the technology isn't quite there yet.

Light weight, but not quite as powerful as a heavier and less friendly gas blower. I am very happy with this backpack. And the great bonus is that it complements my EGO self-propelled 21" EGO lawn mower. I use the same 7.6ah battery and charger for both pieces of equipment. Kudos to EGO for developing and producing this outstanding equipment. They are going to catch on and be the wave of the future in lawn care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ego Power backpack 5ah battery I bought this about a week ago and I also have the greenworks 80v blower. The backpack blows greenworks away! I did have a inop 5ah battery that EGO is sending a replacement for (US representative). This company backs their products FACT. These kick Greenworks/Kobalt out of market FACT. Products look, feel and perform better FACT LOL. Try one and you loose the gas engines noise and upkeep. PS I never write reviews but I made an exception to this company because they deserve it

Lawn clippings, small leaf piles, etc. Mow with my EGO mower and just change the battery out and blow away the clippings. Plenty of charge left to do both. This is at the new 'right size' house/ yard. The old place ? 1 1/2 acres with 50 trees ? No , that was a riding John Deere and a big Shindaiwa blower. Lots of gas, cord pulling , noise ,etc. No more. These EGO products are light , easy to use and perfect for the job. Actually looking forward to snow removal. Slap the battery in their snow blower and go to town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this blower! First, I have not had the blower long enough to determine how well it will hold up. Usage wise though, the blower is a beast. It is well made, has enough heft but is not too heavy, controls are well placed and easy to use. It has more than enough power for most jobs without the need to use turbo mode. If it has any downside it is the lack of blower tube attachments. While it has more than enough power, like most blowers, it does not do a really good job of blowing leaves between the boards of my deck. It would be nice to have a few tube attachments to provide a more concentrated air flow. But for lack of attachments and the significant cost of the batteries, it's a great blower. I look forward to using it for many, many years to come.

I am an emergency medicine doctor.  My job requires that I recognize known and unknown factors that feature in good decision-making. Let me help reduce the unknown in your decision- making. The unknown, for these products, was: * Do the batteries have sufficient endurance to do the job? * Do these power tools have sufficient torque to do the job? * Are they built to last? “Yes,” is the answer to these questions, although I am answering the last question based on appearance, not experience. Now, don't be confused...you are not getting a machine that is ready for four feet of snow - but surely, you already knew that.   So, for me, the only remaining questions were, * Was I ready to discard the gas powered paradigm - that is, untimely trips to the gas station to refill fuel containers, occasional fuel spills in the car, and associated maintenance requirements? * Does the convenience justify the cost? Now that I've taken the plunge, my answer to both questions is a resounding “Yes,” as long as the batteries last for several years.   This remaining uncertainty might cause you to pause; however, it's important to note that, unlike your iPhone, you can replace Ego batteries without replacing the products. A single battery (get the largest) works with the entire line of products.  This enhances the usefulness of any battery you purchase. I received discounted products, but this is my honest opinion: a decision to go with Ego tools - whether stepwise or the entire line - is money well spent.
