Hands down the best lawnmower I have ever owned. Quiet. Easy to use. Easy to store. Charges fast and cuts very well even wet grass! And no problem getting it running after a winter in storage!

I've had gas mowers and a cordless electric mower before, this EGO mower outshines them all. I cut my 1/4 acre lot on a single charge with lots of power to spare. Strong powerful cut. It easily fills the bag, even better than my gas mower. As with any electric mower, starting in simply pushing a button and pulling the handle. One of my favorite things it they way the handle folders up and it will stand on end for storage. it takes up much less space when stored. It also has a 30 minute quick charge which is one of the fastest out there. The other part that is really well designed in the handle. I'm 6'3 and the handle comes up to a perfect height. It's adjustable so it is good for shorter people as well The only negative I can find with this mower is that the battery pack is bigger and heavy. You can use the battery in other tools (trimmer, etc) and you may notice the weight more on them. After using this mower, I wouldn't consider going back to gas.
- Excellent battery life and 56-volt
- Great powerful cut
- Comfortable handle
- Compact fold up and stand on end for storage
- Easy to start
- Quieter than gas
- 20" cutting deck
- High quality build
- Battery pack size and weight (only an issue in non-mower tools)

Out of the box, battery pack indicated in need of immediate recharge, but nothing happened when connected to the supplied 30 minute charger. A quick trip to the store, to test both battery pack and charger against known good products - turns out the battery pack was a dud. Immediate replacement by the store with a new battery in a box - excellent service!
First cut was on a weedy lawn which was unattended for a couple of weeks and which had seen good rainfall the previous day. Good results bagging clippings, machine did everything promised.

I do not normally write reviews but since I made my decision to buy the EGO lawn mower based on the reviews I read here, I wanted to help others who will depend on the reviews here for their purchase. This Lawn Mower is very powerful and the battery charges in about 15 minutes if it is not fully drained. I have always stored my battery at 50% charge. I have a very big lawn which was the consideration for buying this lawn mower vs other electric lawn mowers. This Lawn mower delivered on all the promises.

If you have a lawn , the inevitable mowing comes along with it. Why not do it the easiest way possible with great results, like I just found out. I used to own a lawn care business (spray and fert),so I had to have the lushest lawn on the street for promotional purposes. Even though I'm not in business anymore, I've kept up the best lawn on the street tradition , mostly because I just know what to do. Like many, I'm fed up with gas & oil and all the nonsense that goes along with it. After doing some research, I decided on the EGO. So far, after about a month, I'm Impressed. I use the grass bag. The thickness of my lawn is no match for the EGO. It plows through effortlessly with a nice clean cut(grass is dry when I mow). My lawn takes about 30 minutes or less to cut, so the 45 minute max rating is not an issue with me. The folding storage and one step height adjustment options are icing on the cake. And yes, it does charge from 0 to full in thirty minutes or less. Just for fun, I mowed in the dark last night with the mower lights on. I had no problem spotting the cut line allowing me to keep the rows straight. A fun added bonus was to enjoy traffic slowing down and wondering if an alien space ship has landed in my yard and creating crop circles. I like mine l lot. Hope you like yours too if you decide to buy this mower. But leggo my EGO!

To start I' m a retired landscape maintenance contractor , I have used every type of grass cutting equipment there is . I purchased this machine to replace a gas self-propelled mower ,I had every intention of returning this unit when it failed because I had no faith in it what so ever . I decided to make it's first cut a hard one , 1.5 inches of wet thick grass on mulch setting something a gas machine would have a hard time with . To my surprise the cut was perfect with no mess what so ever . The battery still had over 25% of it's power left after cutting a 1/3 of a acre lot .Maybe one of the best points is the fact that after all the cutting with no power drive I could have done more , the machine is so easy to handle .To not hesitate to purchase this unit , Two thumbs up !

Just got this unit on the 15th of May and immediately used it before going away for the long weekend. Far better that the gas mower I was using. No mess, no fuss, just quite power (as much as my 4.5 hp gas job). Battery charged up in the 30 minutes as stated. Mowed 1600 square feet of overgrown lawn. Very nice! Mowed again today (May 22) with normal length grass and used less that 1/4 of the power battery. Love this machine. Glad I waited to buy cordless and got this one! Fantastic!

I agree with one of the reviewers compared this mower as an Apple product in the lawn care world. It may not be the most powerful comparing with gas engine products. It does not offer self propelling so mowing my slope grass it is not the most ideal. But no annual maintenance, button start, low noise, super light, fold-ability, attached battery combined to make lawn mowing much easier. My property is 70' x 130' and it can finish in one charge.
