Does this come with the rapid charger?

Asked by: Mountainroo
There are no speed options on the charger but I have found it to be pretty fast (30 minutes). I recommend always charging indoors where it is cool. The charger has a built-in fan and makes a little noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please read if you have any questioning... At first I was very hisitant. This is the onky mower my wife will use to mow. She loves how quiet and light weight it is. I bought this mower over 1.5 years ago. I purposely havent left a review yet so I could put the mower to the test. I have nothing but good things to say about this mower. I have had one problem with it I hit a metal pipe coming out of the yard that I didnt know was there. Well it damaged the electronics but ego said that should not have happened and instead of fixing my mower they just sent me a brand new one in thr box with no questions asked. This company has the best customer service that I have ever experiened. I own 1 or 2 of every tool they one and I LOVE THEM! Dont worry because if you have a problem thry will take care of you!!! Just waiting for their ridding mower version now!!!!!:)

I purchased after getting tired of dealing with all of the hassle of gas mowers. This mower is a little pricey but the quality and ease of use more than makes up for it. I have a 1/4 acre back yard and with the 5.0 amp hour battery and mulching pretty tall grass and weeds and using the headlights I finished my yard with ~25% battery left. Charge up after that was only 30 minutes. It folds up for storage really easily and the carry handles make it easy to move around or hang up on a wall hook when folded up.

It's only about as noisy as a floor fan running on medium setting. The blade height adjusts up to 4 inches, very easily. It cuts cleanly. I use the mulching function only. The first time I cut my small lawn was a day after it rained. It mulched so well, there were no clumps. The battery charged up within an hour and it lasted the entire time it took me to cut my lawn -- about 30 minutes. If you are used to rinsing down a gas powered mower after cutting a lawn, you won't be able to do that to this electric mower. The instructions clearly warn you not to do so. After it cools down, you may brush or wipe the mower down, if necessary. You'll enjoy this mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding mower So been doing my research and stuff into this mower for about two weeks before yesterday when i finally purchased it. I wanted to get away from all the drama and hastle of gas mowers. Had a troy bilt that i bought two years ago. Last year had issues with the fuel system. This year no earthly idea. (New spark plug, oil, filter cleaned, and carb was working, still not turning over.) After my research (youtube) i couldnt find a bad review. I am extremely glad that i bought this mower. I brought it home. Little difficult in a chevy cruze but managed it. Took it out of the box. Set the charger up and hooked the battery up. Says to fully charge before use. Took about 25-30 minutes to fully charge and i was off mowing. I started at setting 3. Did the whole front yard. Decided to drop it again to 2. Did the whole front yard again. I have roughly an average sized front yard thats in a neighborhood. Still have plenty of battery to mow my back yard. Here is a list of the things so far that in my opinion make this the best mower ive used so far. The lightweight and foldability. Makes storage and cleaning easy and pie. No fluids to spill when tiltled up on end. The wheels are so smooth rolling with the ball bearings. The height adjust is awesome, one handed manipulation of the height. Solid construction feel. Battery is a beast, very well built and rugged. And it is quiet. When the blade is over concrete like your driveway its about as loud as a gas mower. But once you start mowing the grass, its about half the sound level. Cuts very even and made a beautiful 2 inch carpet out of my lawn. The wheels make some good lines which add to the beauty of the cut. Havent tried out the headlights yet while mowing. But living in Oklahoma, im sure i will get the chance to mow when the sun is setting. I did turn them on after dark and they are very bright. In conclusion. If you are tired of the hastle of gas mowers, wanting something quieter than a gas mower, and is overall a great mowing experience. Then go buy one of these beasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets all my expectations and more I bought this after tearing my rotator cuff and subsequent surgery when starting a gas powered mower. I researched many battery powered mowers and settled on the EGO. I also read many reviews and concluded that many of the slightly negative to negative reviews would have been unnecessary had the reviewers read the manual prior to operating the mower. The mower I have has six height settings. Since it's the first mowing of the year I wanted to cut the grass short prior to fertilizing so I tried setting it on it's lowest setting. The lowest setting is evidently for cutting putting greens, not for mature lawns. The number two setting cut much lower than I normally do and was perfect for the first cutting. Even though the grass was very thick the mower cut very well and much better than my gas mower. Even though it had to cut through very thick grass the battery lasted exactly as advertised and the charger quickly returned the battery to operating condition.

Quiet, light weight, super powerful. We'll see how long it lasts, but the way it folds up and stores so easy, gotta love it. Biggest complaint is that my son is going to have it to easy when he starts cutting the grass. This mower takes about half the effort of my gas powered one.

This is a dream compared the messy gasoline powered mower it replaced two years ago that I always had trouble starting. I'd been under the impression that electric mowers can't perform on anything but postage stamp size yards and wouldn't be able to handle a yard like mine. The EGO was double the cost but the ease of use, durability, reliability, lighter weight and the fact that it runs cleanly and relatively quietly were worth the investment. I only wish I'd done it sooner (and had never bought the gas powered mower).

After a couple months of very light usage, though, a part broke. Before you buy an EGO mower, look at their website (https://egopowerplus.com/pages/contact-us). Note that they handle warranty claims over the phone. Be prepared, if your mower breaks, to waste a couple hours on hold. Once someone finally answers on EGO's support number, they'll direct you to a specific Home Depot with a repair shop. The staff at Home Depot had no idea what to do with an EGO mower, so that process takes a few hours. And then they send your mower off to a different location for service anyway. I'd love to tell you what happens next, but I can't, because they've had my mower for a month now. The helpful gentleman I was able to reach on the phone said that they haven't started working on it yet, and it would likely be another 4-6 weeks. All this just to say- the EGO mower is a bit pricey, but it's a lot more expensive when you factor in that you may need to buy a second lawnmower. A 5-year warranty sounds great, but if you only need the mower a couple months out of the year and it spends most of that time in service, what are you actually paying for?
