Ego swapped me a new 5.0 Mah battery in 6 days so they stepped their game up. Very nice. I timed this battery cutting it on a week from the last mow and it lasted 33minutes while bagging the grass. I stopped my timer on between emptying the catcher. After a while even after an empty catcher the mower will only slightly throw the grass in the bag while about a 1/4 ends up back on the ground. Keep in mind I cut my front yard at a 2in deck height and my back yard at a 3in once a week. Read Less

You'd have to comment on what tool you plan to power to get a good answer. For example, the 4AH battery will power the string trimmer much longer than it will the leaf blower on "high" setting.

I have the blower which I like very much but can only get about 30 minutes from a charge if I do not use turbo and turn it to the middle between High and Low. If I turn it up all the way I get about 20 minutes. I am thinking of buying the 4.0AH battery based on some other questions and answers here but don't want to have to buy another charger.

56-Volt 4.0 Ah Battery is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mower for Women! I could do a commercial for this mower!! Women don't typically have the upper body strength for mowers that require you to yank the starter. The EGO is so easy to start, is quieter than gas powered mowers, takes fewer resources (I never run out of gas), and handles easily. I have let my neighbors test drive my mower and they love it too!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery Dead After 10 Uses Previous owner purchased mower from Home Depot in May of 2015, used it a total of 8 times and decided at 70 years old he couldn't push it up his hills. I bought it from and used it twice and now the battery light just stays on red. There doesn't appear to be any fix and it is only warranted to the original owner. This means that the resale value is extremely low if the warranty doesn't carry over on new technology. Does anyone know of a way to re-set or fix the battery? Now that I know EGO won't help, is there any 3rd party service repairing these (expensive) batteries?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died after 5 uses It fried so quick after purchase, 3 uses last year and 2 this year - dead battery - "sorry sir no receipt no warranty" - even if you look at the mfg date of 2-2014 it's still under the 3 year warranty. $200 for a replacement? It was working pretty well until it died.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love all four of the products that I bought First I got the weed wacker and I loved it. Then I got the lawnmower and absolutely love it. Next I got the leaf blower and I like it. Then I got the chainsaw and it is awesome. The hedge trimmer is on its way. I highly recommend purchasing the fast charger, which comes with the lawnmower, but you can use it to charge the batteries for the smaller products as well, because all the batteries and chargers are interchangeable, so you don't need to purchase a battery and charger with each product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Darn Mower I bought the Ego self propelled lawn mower and absolutely love it. The battery charges quickly and I can cut the front, back and sides without having to stop and recharge and there's plenty of battery power left. If you're looking for a battery mower this is the one to buy. Only downside I see is that the cost of the battery is 1/3 the cost of this mower when I have to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you to the designers of this battery. Thanks to the designers and engineers of my EGO battery as well as the lawn mower and edger. I can easily mow my yard without worrying about a low battery. And the power is really unbelievable. When I opened the box with my new toys I called my wife out to the garage to look. I felt like I was in the movie, 'Back to the Future". Thanks again and I love my EGO products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fried within 8 months and no more than 30 uses/recharges. At the price of a replacement battery, anyone should expect it to last at least one year. Really??? Gasoline and oil sounds a lot less expensive in the long run. Chuck.
