The doors are attractive and very easy to assemble and install and it is GREAT that you can make it either left or right hand swing. Being able to slide the upper window open for fresh air is fantastic. A great value and very cost effective.

I purchased this exact door in May of 2010. It has a 10 yr. warranty. Two years had gone by and the door started to disintegrate from the inside of the door to the outside. Within a few months the disintegrated area was at least 5 x 10 inches rotted. And it started to rot in other areas. Apparently the door was not sealed properly. I did return the door to Home Depot, with the manufacturer's warranty slip, and got a replacement. Let's hope this one lasts longer. I had never seen a storm door rot from the inside to the outside ever. And this is a division of Anderson doors.

I had this installed so cannot give an opinion on installation. Door looks nice compared to what it replaced. What I do not like about the door is the positioning of the screen, which is not movable. The screen is right where your hand would be and I know the screen will be ripped in no time. It would be more feasible to have the window a little higher to avoid a hand going through the screen. I wish I took this into consideration before paying to have the door installed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jacque Great Door... But keep losing parts!!!
I love this door! It keeps my dogs from tearing up the back door and also allows me to be able to let fresh air in without letting the bugs in. With that being said, the door won't stay shut! The pin on the closer keeps coming out and was lost within 2 weeks! We have another Anderson storm door and have no issues with it! I definitely should have spend the extra $50 and gotten the same door again!

The instructions are great as are the installation aids. DO NOT look at the current installation instructions that are linked to the Home Depot web site as of 10-18-2014 they are old. The new instructions and sequence of steps are MUCH better. Read the ones that come with the door completely. They have added some installation aids/jigs that REALLY simplify the installation. If your door frame is in good repair installation is easy. They even provide a 1/8" drill bit. ( you will also need a 5/16" bit to install the handle however). This is the seventh (7) Anderson manufactured storm door I have installed and they have really simplified the process. Quality and appearance are excellent. For the price you can not beat this door.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by UltraDan Decent Door for Sunporch
This review is for my parents new sunporch door. They had it installed by Home Depot, and I am not too impressed with the finished job for the price charged to have it installed. Since this review is about the door itself, I digress about the installation. It is a sturdy door, wood core, because it needed to be trimmed to fit the existing area. If you or a contractor are installing this door in an existing area that needs to be built up, especially in an aluminum frame, enclosed sunporch, make sure you trim out the inside if you want to improve the finished appearance. The door is functional and does as designed, but the major disappointment is the sill. If you get a good horizontal rain, you will get water inside since the slope of the sill allows for the water to collect behind the screen and pass through closed window. It does not appear that this issue can be adjusted. For anyone who has this issue, a quick fix is simple weatherstripping. In a non-heated sunporch, weatherstripping is kind of unnecessary in general for the windows, but for the window on this door, it makes a significant difference keeping the precipitation out during heavy rains.
