Answer:
Ken, I wondered the same... I don't understand why some doors come in multiple colors and others don't, especially when made by the same company. Looks like a very nice door but that fact that it only comes in white kind of turns us away from this model.

I don't see why not. I would prime it with Kilz just to make sure your new enamel will stick. Some paints like Rust-Oleum will probably stick without a primer, just read the instructions.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The EMCO 100 Series Self-Storing Strom Door is made of vinyl skin over woodcore. A woodcore storm door with vinyl skin cannot be painted since it will cause future issues. Painting the storm door will void the warranty. - Noel

I would just buy a new door for this price. The glass might be prohibitive in price. I just replaced my whole door, therefore, I could have given you a whole new replacement window and frame that I have sitting in my garage. The aluminum framing around the window screws off and you can slide the whole window casing out for repair or replacement Like I said, it would be better to buy a whole new door or Read More

Yes, I've had one of these doors for 15 years with a LARGE pet door in it. Even little kids love to crawl through it. The door is still in great shape
and I've worn out two pet doors.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This door is terrible We bought this door 5 years ago from Home depot in Kingston Ontario for our sun room at the cottage. After 3 years it started to rot on the bottom hinge area. Last year was a little worse and this year when we went up to check on everything the bottom part of the particle board door around the metal hinge has disintegrated even the hinge has disintegrated. After the 3rd year we even started to tarp and tap around the door so it would save it but to no avail. We will never by a EMCO door again as they are just garbage. I like how the description says innovated system protects against water infiltration. NOT LIKELY. Don't buy this door. May 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Door - Replacing after 3 years We installed THREE of these horrible doors on a screen porch in spring of 2013. They were professionally installed by our contractor. After 2 years, they began to bulge and the metal sheathing began to burst on the inside along the bottom edge, around the glass, and around the door closer. All three doors did the same thing to varying degrees. As the core of the door began to swell, they then began to no longer close properly. I had to resort to using a rubber mallet on the edge of one to beat it down enough so I could close it to keep out the weather. We're totally disgusted. Now, we are shopping for new doors. These doors should have lasted our lifetime. Did not expect to be buying new ones a few years later. Avoid these doors. I will never buy EMCO again. Total waste of $300 + the cost for the original installation. Money flushed down the toilet. Total garbage. See my photos and buy at your own risk. June 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Door with Easy Installation This was the third door that I have purchased and installed. The price can't be beat and the installation was a breeze. August 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage... Several Faulty and None Fit Properly. HD should be ashamed. Bought 2 of these,,, I had to return 3 units to get one where the piston on the door closer actually functioned at some level... still works poorly. The quality is horrible. Too bad.. the door looks nice. Also, I got the 30" version for standard HD 30" doors... Guess what... it does not fit... not even close. I had to hand chisel the pre-hung door frame so that this could be mounted... ON TWO SEPARATE doors... what a disappointment... GARBAGE... will NEVER buy an EMCO product again... and I mean never July 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy storm door This door was a good buy. The price was great and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It looks really nice. It wasn't real easy to install and took longer than we thought but all in all not bad. I would, and already have recommended this door to family and friends. I would buy it again. August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 1 star is to good. 1 star rating is to good. It has rotted away all around the outside edge. We first thought an animal had chewed on the door . I also like what was said by the company that makes the door. It depends on how it was installed and THE ELEMENTS or the weather. Hello--- IT IS A STORM DOOR IS IT NOT..... July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage! Door started falling apart a few months after we bought it. Stay away June 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk DO NOT BUY Very disappointed! Put on new in October now it's June and its bubbling out were moisture got in and is rotting at the bottom and around the window!!!! Some storm door now I have to buy another one this time I'll go to lowes! I should take it and throw it in there parking lot and write junk on it. June 9, 2016
