Can this storm door be locked? I can't tell if there is a key hole on it.

Asked by: MikeD
Thank for your inquiry. The EMCO 75 Series Crossbuck Storm Door comes with a black push-button handle. The handle does not have key hole or key lock. However, the inside latch of the push button hardware has a component called the night latch. The purpose of the night latch is to lock the door from the inside of the house. To lock it, you can move the night latch by sliding up the pin/button. To unlock, just slide it down. - Noel

36 in. x 80 in. 75 Series White Crossbuck Storm Door is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from EMCO Crossbuck door is junk Do not consider purchasing this storm door. Even though I was looking for a cheaply made storm door this door could not make it up to the standard of cheaply made. May explain why the door on display in the store was displayed eight feet off the floor. After attaching the hinge strip and starting to hang door I found the bottom cross-buck panel is so poorly designed that it will not stay in the door. The panel is nothing more than a square piece of aluminum forced into a narrow U shaped channel on all four sides. No glue, No clips, No crimps, just sits there. The slightest pressure pops the panel out of the channel. The U shaped channel itself has gaps in the each corner that you can see through the door. So much for being weatherproof. The glass window does cover the exterior opening but has lots of extra room in the interior side. The glass window is simply held in placed, in the door, by two plastic push in strips on two sides. Maybe I can recoup some of my money back in aluminum scrap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk I just bought one of these and my dog jumped on the door once and almost fell through it!! It is now unrepairable 1 day after buying this!!!!! For a $100 your best bet is to go to the casino and win so you can afford a real one!! This door is junk!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for My landlord installed this door about 4 mos ago and I knew as soon as I saw it that it was cheap. The bottom panel is already bent out of the frame. If you have kids or catch the storm door with your rear when your hands are full, do not buy this door.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from i wouldnt buy it again...ever, 1 out of 5 stars because its cheaply made. When the wind blows it shakes, its too loud.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for Price I moved into my home in 1994 and the door just started rusting on the bottom over the past 2 years ago. Looking now to replace it. 17 years is not bad for the price. Window is easy to change for fresh air in the spring/fall.
