Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the EMCO Forever Store-in-Door Crossbuck Storm Door. This type of storm door is made of molded polypropylene (vinyl) material. We do not suggest installing a mail slot in on the door. In addition, modifications made on the door will void the Limited Lifetime Warranty. -Ben

Emco.... please tell me I can custom order this in a brown. I have a door just like this, not sure who made it as it is 45 years old. Would love to have a new one but I need it in a brown. I would not mind paying a little extra for it.

Thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in purchasing an Andersen storm door product. The EMCO Forever Series Store-in-Door Crossbuck/Traditional Storm Door has been discontinued and we no longer manufacture it. The replacement model is the EMCO 400 Series Traditional Storm Door. However, brown is not included in the color availability. - Noel

Answer:
Thank you for posting a question. The EMCO Forever Store-in-Door features a half-screen and half-window on the upper portion of the door. To ventilate or expose the screen, the window can be stored down at the bottom part of the door or vice versa. However, please be informed that this model is already discontinued and will not be available in the market. - Charmaine

Replace the handle twice in that time, and had a new screen made last year. I am looking to replace it with the same, unless I can fix the glass. The bottom of the window has come apart and it is stuck in the bottom of the door!! Totally surprised at all the negative reviews as it has served us very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EMCO Door Great door, great service - That is why I shop at Home Depot not at Lowes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save Yourself the Trouble The interior handle of the door fell apart after about 2 years of use, when the metal housing surrounding the pin on the handle pretty much disintegrated. To make matters worse, it is only covered under warranty for 1 year. The real problem is that finding a replacement under $50 dollars is practically impossible due to the depth of the door. I would strongly recommend you think twice before buying this product. And if you don't believe me, do a quick search online to verify that this problem is universal. Good luck!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Do not waste your money! inside handle broke can't find a replacement for just inside handle. you have to buy the whole lock and handle kit $59.00 plus shipping! only to have the same broken handle problem later!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Forever repair This is one of the worst storm doors. I bought it because it seemed solid, had the high view with screen option. The door does not form a good seal and the cold air comes through. I have since replaced the door once and replaced the inside handle twice. Right now the handle is broken again, but, I refuse to pay anymore money to buy another one! Currently looking for a better quality storm door that looks like this one. Save your money, buy something else!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk!!!!! these doors did not last things broke off the screen and glass does not slide, the comany has an "amazing" warranty that they will do not keep to. do not waste your time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Forever Junk This door was fine for the first year, then it became forever a problem. The frame bowed out, screen would no longer hold and that worthless storm door, we had to put tape around the frame to keep the cold out, finally the past 2 years it got stuck and we could not pull it up for the winter, put plastic and tape over the screen for the winter. This door is only 5 years old................
