Answer:
No. The combined window and doggie door, along with the felt frame surround, allow too much air inside.

Thank you for your inquiry. Andersen® and EMCO® storm doors are not intended to be used as entry doors. The intended purpose or function of a storm door is to reduce the exposure of an entry door to the elements. - Lea

I don't know if I'm answering you right but just measured my door for you. The actual opening (finished) is 31 1/4 wide. Same as actual door width. The door is 79 1/2 tall. It is attached to the outside 1x4 door trim on exterior. You could tap the trim over for this small discrepancy. The door swings to the outside so it wouldn't matter. I am quiet sure this door would fit. Just adjust your wood trim. The only other issue was the 1" gap at the floor. I installed their thresh strip and then added my own 2" strip. This allowed me to be able to drag the weather strip up enough to be able to have something to screw to. Works like a champ. The weather strip has a slight drag to it (sitting on concrete) but that is okay. Wanted air tight due to north wind and spiders. It's not a very used door so I don't think I will wear it out too soon. Be aware it has a "snug/magnetic" dog closure. My 16 lb. dog WILL NOT push it. My lab runs thru it. So I installed a clear plastic runner material to the outside with Velcro and tiny screws (over the Velcro) Swings like a cat door. I also installed a strip of metal at bottom of my homemade flap to keep a drag to it. Works like a charm. I use two bungee cords (for a longer cord) and hook it to the trim of the window. It keeps the original up so the little ones will go in and out. Hope this makes sense. Read Less

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a K900 Series Storm and Screen Door. Based on the measurement provided, your entry way is outside the standard range and a 32” x 80” will not fit. One option you have is to order a 30” x 80” door which fits an opening range of 29 ¾” to 30 3/8” x 80” to 81” and use a z-bar extender kit to reduce the rough opening width of your doorway from ½” to 1”. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great door Very sturdy and good quality. Took a while to install but anyone can do it correctly. I have a 60 lb dog who gets through the door easily and also have a 17 lb miniature pinscher who can get through it himself. He has a little more trouble but can still do it himself when he wants to. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOME door! My pets love it!!! This door fits very well, took very little time to install and is a great value for the money spent. Other companies wanted upward of $600 for a door that appeared to be the same model. This is my second door at a second location from Home Depot and April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great, works great! We paid for install so can't really speak to the ease, but he did have to add an additional border of some kind to make it fit properly (and at additional cost). That aside, the door itself is very well-made. Has the best dog door I've seen. The 3 separate sections of the flap work much better than one long piece, and they're made of a plexiglass-type material so they're sturdy, stay clear (instead of getting cloudy like regular soft plastic), and very easy to clean. Seals very well so there's no loss of A/C. The screen window is great when you want to let air flow. Absolutely recommended for pet owners! August 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by doggy storm door after having this door called to ask for replacement where the dog goes in and out and was told it only has a 1 year warranty on that part, don't know what is covered in the 7 year warranty September 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Purchase This is a nice looking door, but the panel that lets the dog in and out only lasted 6 months to the day. Poor quality dog door! August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Straightforward installation This installation was fairly easy as long as you check for proper measurements and clearances which are listed in the manual. I had to cut off the door for a shorter entrance way, but that was no problem. I just had to cut the door and the frame pieces and drill new holes to attach them. The latch fit well and closes properly. The dog door is heavy and the weatherstrips are tight so it doesn't swing very freely. My dogs have been slow to get used to pushing on it. Otherwise this door suits my needs well. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beware - Wears out fast I've had to replace the dog door flap 4 times now... about every 12-15 months. Always just outside of the warranty. I have to call Andersen Emco to do it. It's easy to replace, but a hassle to call Andersen and get the part. They've now wised up and raised the cost of the flap replacement to 120$ - half the cost of the entire door! The flap is made of three pieces, connected by rubber - that's what gives it flexibility. The rubber wears out and eventually separates. There is no fix other than order new flap. June 11, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good door for the price good door but the locking mechanism is hard to.push up and down. hopefully it will loosen up with time. July 12, 2016
