Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bostonhomeowner Sweep fin needs yearly replacement
The Storm door has a base which requires two sweep fins. The door is the primary entrance, so it gets a lot of use. The fins wear out and need to be replaced about yearly. The cost and shipping come to over $10 each, and they are replaced.in pairs. I got two pairs to save on the shipping and I am storing a pair for next spring, but it is annoying to regularly have to replace them on a fairly expensive Anderson door. Maybe Anderson could maker them with heavy duty rubber so it lasts longer. Until then, I'll wait until the second pair wears out before I order it again. They weren't availabe in store so I also got stuck with the shipping fee, which added 3 dollars per strip ($12 total S & H) to the overall cost.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by welcome1 Just what I needed, now...
This was exactly what I needed. I have not installed it yet. I need to "bend" the fins holding the old broken one it to replace this and the weather has not cooperated with me at all. The piece was not all "kinked" up as reported by another person who purchased this same product. (I was concerned.) So, I just need a few minutes, and some decent weather and to have the two wet noses gone for a short time while I open the fins and slide this in. This was delivered promptly, and within the time frame promised.

The product was as advertised. It ships directly from the manufacturer. The problem is they just stuffed it loose in an envelope and it arrived all bent up and crinkled. Therefore, it does not provide an "optimum seal". It has straightened a little. But it is summer. If you install this in cold weather, it won't work very well. For what they are charging, they should have wound it around something so it gets to you nice and straight, and then it would be perfect.

Did not work on storm door even though description said it was the right one..Needs whole metal piece with sweep attached and Home Depot does not carry them although they should because it is something that needs replacing every year. Anderson should make replacement bar for bottom of door that sweep can be attached to. Save us a lot of money.

This is an expensive this strip of rubber not sold in HD which seems to have exclusive rights to Anderson doors. So couple the price of 2 strips of rubber that the door requires and shipping cost came to more than $20.00. Not a value by my standard. AS far as a recommendation if you want the door to serve its purpose you really don't have a choice.

Expensive for what it is and does not last that long. Our door was about 3 years old. You can not buy (that I could find) directly from Anderson and are stuck getting from The Home Depot. Very light so I think shipping was a little pricey too......but what do you do????????

I was very happy that I did not have to purchase a new door sweep, but could instead replace the sweep fins. I thought the price was a little high for such a product, but that ease of replacement was excellent.
