The rail is nice and looks great on my stairs. There were a few scratches on it when it was delivered, but that could have been a shipment issue. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Solid nice finish. the Return Caps did not work right for my installation because of the bracket location. Return was simple.

Replaced our wooden handrail with these nice aluminum ones that look good and should last decades. It was simple to cut to length and install.

Purchased 24 foot rail to cut into two 12 foot rails. With the wall and end mounts, installation was a breeze, however I replaced the softer stainless steel screws with hardened ceramic coated screws to attach the rail to the wall mounts. Nice finish and multiple choices for accessories make for a nice user friendly product.

A recent issue required me to have a very sturdy handrail in my home. My stairwell is narrow, so I'd long removed an old and ugly wooden rail.
I didn't want wood again, the finish wears off and it sometimes warps, and I didn't want the "cherry" finished color or the pain of finishing one. I wanted as close to ready-to-install as possible.
The finish: the rail, the mounts and the end caps of this product are a smooth med. brownish-bronze powder coated finish. (all items are to be purchased sep.) It's neither shiny or matte, but a smooth satin finish.
I'd have preferred a hammered finish for grip texture, because the smoothness is a bit too smooth, but given the limited choices online between all retailers, this was my best choice. HD had the best selection.
I had to go with the 24 foot length due to limited length selections - understandable from the supplier POV.
The mounts are quite sturdy but there was a problem: the supplied silver bolt-screws were easily stripped, so down to HD to replace them with a sturdier hex head. A small but notable thing others might also run into. Save yourself a pain and get better screws before you begin the mount job. It would have been nice if the bolting screws were a color match and of better quality.
I'd strongly suggest one order a bottle of the corresponding touch up paint (which is too pricey, imo, but I bought it), you WILL manage to scratch your pole if you have to cut it outside, bring it in to install in an inside stairwell, esp. the longer lengths.
A few suggestions - wrap the ends which you intend to cut in several wraps of painters tape to prevent scratching if you slip. If you clamp this rail down before cutting, wrap every contact surface in the tape as well -- when you go to drill the holes, be sure to protect the area around the hole you are attempting to drill, due to the smooth surface, it's easy to slip and scratch the pole, tape or a cardboard shield are helpful.
Use a rubber mallet to pound the end caps in securely, however, if you've had to cut the pole, be sure to sand the cut end of the pipe with a folded piece of sandpaper, then give it a quick touch up with the paint, because the end caps will allow a bit of the silver aluminum to peek through otherwise.
It is a bit larger around than a standard round wooden handrail. Initially, I thought this might be clumsy as I've small hands, but it's great. I've adapted to it quite well.
Delivery was free. A trucking co. called to tell me what day they'd be out (didn't call beforehand, tho) and to make sure I'd be home. They were out around 2:00 pm on the scheduled day, parked on the curb and hand-delivered it up our long driveway to the garage. Painless.
I love my handrail. It's ultra-sturdy, it looks just fine (I have a lot of mission-style bronze and iron, etc., in my home, so the simplicity and somewhat industrial look is great, the mounts are a nice mission match) and an elephant could hang on it and it wouldn't move. Getting up the stairs is much less of a chore now.
I do wish the finish was upgraded to look like hammered bronze (which can be done with powder coating). A simple functional and aesthetic change that wouldn't result in a drastic cost increase to the manufacturer.
We're using the remaining footage for an outdoor set of stairs, mounting it exactly as the picture at the bottom of the product page shows, as it is much nicer to grab the pole than a wooden rail.
Enjoy this product. I'm pleased & my husband is a champ for doing this for me. I was glad the product was available and the order processed/shipped/arrived so quickly.
I order online when possible and have generally been pleased with the speed of service and the products I've gotten.
