Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fangler An easy but tedious assembly, and installation with fine results
This replacement railing comprises extruded aluminum frame members and an assortment of neatly-packaged fasteners for various wood or masonry installations. Each vertical piece requires 4 screws for assembly, so I think an electric drill with a 1/4" socket attachment is a must. I think it could easily take 2 hours to assemble with just a hand wrench or socket wrench. A 1/4" screwdriver-style nut driver will not have sufficient torque for those without strong hands, as the self-tapping screws must cut into the aluminum. The holes were accurately placed and aligned well for assembly. The sections are easy to shorten with a hacksaw, or even a crosscut wood handsaw, as the aluminum is soft.
The installation was easy, and the final appearance was good.
My only complaint was that one of the 2 sections I purchased had a significant dent in the top rail that must have occurred in store or warehouse handling prior to my purchase. I opted to massage this out with a hammer and wooden block, with satisfactory results.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GabeOl Solid handrail solution that doesn't break the bank
EZRail handrails came from Home Depot well-packaged, and on time for the install. We installed 3 8-foot sections, 8 6-foot sections and four support posts in 2 days, without heroics. EZRail is a well designed and well manufactured product, an easy railing solution within my budget. Definitely will consider the product for my other railing needs throughout my property.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bertell Do not use this product for stairs railing!
I bought this for a hand railing on steps from our deck. These are not rackable - you must cut each rail for the stairs angle. This was difficult - and took several tries before I got it exactly right! If they were rackable (able to be angled in place) it would have been so much easier! While these may be useful for straight railings, they are a pain for angled installations.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dofus Very Nice Product That Can Work in a 97.5" Opening
I almost did not buy this item since I had a 96.5" opening between an existing post and the house wall and the response to my question in the Q&A section was that it would not work. After due consideration I doubted the response due to the size of the end brackets. I saw no necessity to buy two 6' sections plus a post to fill the opening at over twice the cost. I am glad I did because it works great. The mounting end caps are each 1.25" deep so the railing kit can be used in up to a 97.5" opening if you are willing to secure the top rail with sheet metal screws through the bottom of the top bracket as I did.
The finally installed unit is excellent if quality and appearance and the abundant hardware supplied would meet the needs of almost any installation . A few notes for other DIY'rs from my installation experience. First, I used an impact driver to attach the 20 balusters to the rails with 4 screws/baluster. Be sure you have a really good 1/4 impact socket before you start. Second, There was a a slight difference between the spacing from the two ends of the rails to the mounting holes for the first baluster. It was about 1/4" in my case and, of course, I did not notice it until the assembly of the rails/balusters was completed. Since I was installing in a 96.5" opening it was actually a good thing as the top rail was tight on one end and the bottom rail was tight on the other with the balusters square to the rails. Had I been installing in an 8' opening it would have been necessary to trim one of the rails to make it fit. Finally, The center support leg did not assemble flush and was slightly longer than the 2X4 support block I used so I trimmed the foot length to be flush and match. My radial arm saw did this easily.
Overall, I am very pleased with the railing kit and the installation was straightforward and relatively easy. The installed rail is both attractive and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

Very easy to assemble and install. Nice looking and durable. I would have given it 5 stars, but it wasn't super clear that I needed to order an extra part to finish the installation. But quick shipment and well packed. I would buy this again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KC Easy as they say
the rail was easy to install. I installed it to wood 4 X 4 post but had to purchase the lag bolts separately. I had to cut the rail to fit between posts on a ramp and the rail cut easy and fit great. The product description says powder coated but the paint scratches easy and covers up with spray paint. I will use this railing again.

This EZ Hand Rail was easy to install. The rails and balusters were easily cut with my cutoff saw. The kit came with all of the screws I needed. It was supplied with a variety of screws for attaching the brackets to the wall or post.
