I purchased the degreaser nuetralizer to nuetralize my Rustic Acid Stain which is required before you can seal the surface. I also used it on my exhisting concrete patio and it cleaned years of dirt and grime without much effort.

I recently acid stained a covered cement deck and exposed cement sidewalk. I used this product on the smooth finish cement deck. Per instructions, I pressure washed the deck (actually 3 times), used the etch and clean; cleaned the etch and clean off the deck, acid stained the deck, then used this product to neutralize the acid stain. After 5 scrub down/washes this product still had not neutralized the acid stain. Only after another 5 washes was I able to remove all of the neutralizer so I could seal the deck. After my experience with this product, I prepared and stained my brushed cement walkway. Rather than using this product, I used Baking Soda and a pole brush to clean/neutralize the acid wash. Using this method, I was able to prep the walkway after 1 wash down followed by two brush downs with baking soda and two brush downs with clean water. For the $$$ and the headaches, I won't use this product again when we acid stain our driveway....besides 5 boxes of baking soda was only a few dollars.

this is a critical product to use when staining and sealing concrete, it causes the finish to apply better and makes it more durable.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Bailey Good as a neutralizer.
This product is good as the acid neutralizer but did not work well on grease spots on concrete. Even put it straight on spots not diluted and still did not remove spots. Good price.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by MissNancy Didn't work as well as expected
I mixed it 4 to 1 and used a brush on the old oil stains and worked it in, waited 5 minutes and nothing happened. I poured it straight out of container and used a brush and it lightened up the stains a bit after 5 minutes. I did the rest of the garage floor with the 4 to 1 mix. The results were minimal and not what I expected. I don't know if the oil stains were too old and set in to remove, but will try another product and update my results.
