Answer:
No. This product is designed to etch bare concrete before sealing. Existing seal coatings may need to be stripped prior to an additional coating (i.e. water-based and solvent-based sealers are typically not compatible). If you are looking to "paint" your concrete surface, we would suggest looking at Eagle Solid Color Sealer.

Answer:
The dry time for this product will vary depending on conditions. You do not want Eagle Etch and Clean to dry on the surface due to the fact that it will leave behind a residue. Make sure you rinse Eagle Etch and Clean off the concrete with water before it completely dries.

Answer:
Depends on the humidity but no more than a couple of hours and faster if you put a fan to it. Outdoors it dried in no time.

Should I use this product to remove sealer from concrete to then stain it? Will the stain then soak into the concrete?

Answer:
This product is designed to etch bare concrete substrates. Eagle Etch and Clean will not remove sealer. Look for a coatings stripper to remove your existing sealer. Once the sealer is stripped, you may then use Eagle Etch and Clean to ensure the stain will soak in or bond to the concrete.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by concrete didn't turn out like the way Ithought it would bought this along with the acid stain. followed all directions, and the color was just a hint of brown looking conrete October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I thought etching was an unnecessary expense. WRONG! Should have seen the water as I went along. UGLY October 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! This Etch and Clean for Concrete worked really great. I had to prep a concrete porch for a special paint job and it exceeded my expectations! I just followed the directions on the bottle. Since you are not supposed to let it dry, I worked on small sections at a time and it went smoothly. It did take me 3-4 hours to complete. 1 diluted gallon covers alot of area. Since my porch was so dirty, I went over it twice. You can tell by the black spot in the left top corner what a difference the 2nd wash made. I have no idea what that was, but have never been able to get it off the cement before. It was easy to mix and easy to apply with the sprayer. Wet the surface lightly, spray, scrub with a brush, rinse really well. Let dry before applying anything to the surface. As you can see by my pictures, my porch was a mess and so it was time to do something about it. This Etch and Clean got the prep work done and after applying special concrete paint, my porch looks brand new. May 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A GREAT PRODUCT THIS IS A GREAT WORKING PRODUCT. BE CAREFUL OF THE PERCENTAGE OF WATER YOU DILUTE THIS PRODUCT WITH. VERY IMPORTANT STEP. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Easy to apply and is really cleaning the concrete floor August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by will lighten your acid stain color I etched one room and did not etch the other before acid staining. The etched room came out a lot lighter than the non etched room. The etched room actually has a lot more color in it but i like them both. It is not muriatic acid so unless you really drench and let it sit there for a while you wont ruin the concrete. i sprayed a light coat broomed it around then neutralized right away. May 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not use for acid staining! You cannot follow the directions on the bottle and get great results if you acid stain an interior concrete floor. I diluted the etch 4 to 1 with water and used 1 1/2 bottles to clean 1800 sq. ft. I sprayed on using a pump sprayer and then scrubbed with a stiff bristle brush never allowing the floor to dry. I then sprayed the entire floor with water and squeegeed the water off. Once the floor dried it looked good but I noticed some bright white powder in areas (See Photo). I then went ahead and started staining and noticed the real problem (See Photo). The stain magnified the white areas and would not adhere to the concrete. (See Photo) After wasting almost 2 bottles of Acid Stain I repeated the Etching process per the instructions on the bottle in the whiter areas with no success. I then had to used a 2800 psi power washer to get the white powder off my concrete. It took me two days messing with the Etch and Clean disaster. I used the Eagle Acid Stain-Rustic, Eagle Neutralizer and Cleaner and Eagle Concrete Polish Gloss Floor Finish and I am very happy with the final results. If I had to do it over again I would still use the Eagle products, just not the Etch and Clean. My concrete was in good shape to begin with and really only needed a good cleaning with a citrus degreaser. October 29, 2013
