Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hard work, scary moments but totally worth it! The hard work is in removing the vinyl and the GLUE, not the actual staining. This product is ALL about prep work! We removed our vinyl, carpet, padding, and quarter round, then taped off all the walls. We rented a orbital buffer and a concrete scraper attachment from Home Depot that worked like a charm to remove the stubborn small bits of glue as well as the paint that was under the carpet left over from construction 20 years ago. We used the same orbital machine with a pad to degrease and neutralize the floor. Our Ryobi shop vac did a great job cleaning up the water. Then, we etched- again using the shop vac to clean up the water. Lastly, we filled in the holes made by the carpet strip nails with quick drying concrete repair. We used the Maple Syrup color. I had a mild panic attack when I tried it in a closet. It looks NOTHING like the color sample. I was afraid I would hate it. But, waiting 5 days for another color wasn't gonna happen as we were under quite a time crunch. We loaded up the sprayer and got to work. Another panic attack. It came out very dark and very splotchy. Again, I was afraid I would hate it. What a difference a few hours makes! It dried lighter and much more uniformly-I still wasn't completely convinced, just less panicked. In places where it puddled, I was able to rub out some of the color with a damp rag. We put the 2nd coat on more lightly. When it dried, the darks and lights were more visible. Still pretty dull though- not rich at all--until we sealed it. Now it is quite beautiful. I can see greys, greens, yellows, browns, dark and light. I love it even if it's not the color in the example. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent products If you have new or concrete that is in great shape this is a weekend project, if not be prepared for a lot of cleaning, scraping and scrubbing. The prep work is the key, once that was done this was a breeze. I did 2 coats of dye(sprayed on)2 coats of sealer( sprayed on),and 4 of wax(microfiber pad). Total actual work time about an hour but you have to wait a minimum of 2 hours in between each coat. Well worth the time and work I put into this. My floor looks great!! July 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Result...easy to use We are so pleased with the results of this product. We tore out the carpet in our living room and used concrete dye. I used Maple Syrup as the base color, and then when over with just a little bit of Malt Brown. We got a nice marbling effect. The hardest part of the project was the prep. But when we got to the actual dye, it was so easy and fast. We spent 1 full day in the dye process (apply then let it dry...we wanted the marble look so we expected to apply & dry a few times) Then the next day, I applied a gloss coat sealer (also Eagle brand). I let it dry 12 hours and applied a second coat. Then a couple of days later, we applied 2 coats of polish. Now...we just sweep and clean with warm water. We have dogs and they do scratch the surface...but the scratches disappear with a little bit of polish on a microfiber mop. I want to do more floors...I'll use this product again!! July 30, 2013
