Eagle Acid Stains create marbled variations of color on cured concrete by chemical reaction with the minerals in the concrete. Every concrete floor will react with its own unique pattern. Once sealed with clear sealer, your floor will pop with an elegant look. Acid Staining is a tedious process. Eagle concrete dyes should be considered if a simple process is important.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Trying this on concrete pavers This is more a question than a review (questions don't appear to be enabled for this product). I have some light brown pavers and I'd like them to be darker and grayer, so I thought I would try the Onyxx acid stain on some leftover scraps. For my first attempt I just took the clean scraps, wet half of them, and brushed on the stain. I left the scraps overnight to react. This morning I rinsed them off until no residue remained (using a white cloth) and though the staining is nice there's no variation in it. When I checked on the scraps yesterday after about 3 hours it seemed like some variation might happen but today there's none. So I guess I'm asking the following questions: (1) Am I wasting my time trying to acid stain pavers? (2) Should I have etched the pavers before staining? (3) Does the neutralizing after staining change the coloration or is it just to prepare the surface for sealing? (4) Did leaving the acid stain on more than 6 hours matter? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows. :) June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice color I initially went with a rustic stain for my driveway, sidewalk and another area. I used 3 gallons. However, the rustic alone was a little too light for me. The following weekend, I added 2 gallons of this onyx and sealed it with the Eagle sealer Home Depot has, and the results are awesome. Careful when cleaning after you stain. Water runoff can leave a slight stain in other non intended areas. May 27, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product did not soak in as expected Manufacturer instructions were followed precisely. Eagle etch and clean was applied in various concentrations (4:1) then (2:1) and even full strength to achieve etched concrete surface on existing slab (30+ yrs. old). Concrete did not etch adequately to absorb stain. Most of floor slightly discolored with limited staining occuring. Entire process very messy and difficult. Final product did not even remotely resemble the desired look. Stain was allowed to soak in over night (exceeding 4 hour min. by far). Freshly poured concrete driveway adjacent to stained slab gladly absorbed accidental overspray. Do not use on existing (aged concrete) as manufacturer claims. May 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Misleading color We were looking for a black acid stain for our concrete basement floor. Thank goodness we did a test strip as the color was a mustard brown- not what we wanted at all! I am so disappointed because this now delays our project another week as we were prepared to do it this weekend. November 24, 2013
