Questions & Answers

How long do you wait before putting on 2nd coat

Asked by: Ronnie
Only one coat is needed but you will have to do it all over again every few years. There are some products available that only require one coat to last the lifetime of the concrete but they are about $70 a gallon

Do you think it would work on Leakey Foundation walls

Asked by: James
This product is to seal porous surfaces like concrete and pavers from rain, etc. It is not a waterproofing agent to prevent leaks in foundations. There are other products for that. If you want a permanent cure for foundation leaks, it's best to get a professional.

Customer Reviews

5 Gal. Natural Seal Penetrating Clear Water-Based Concrete and Masonry Water Repellant Sealer and Salt Repellant is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 417.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely repels!! I would definitely recommend this product. I had it applied to our 10 year old driveway. It hasn't been sealed since we built the house. It did of coarse take more than one coat. Its recommended that 2 coats be applied. I actually had them put 3 coats on it to make sure the driveway was waterproof. Before application the water just soaked into the concrete. Now it runs off in beads. It's actually pretty neat. Driveway stays dry when it rains. That's all I can ask for. One 5 gallon bucket covers 1000sq ft. My driveway was 800 sq ft. I bought 10 gallons. I have 2.5 gallons left. So this products coverage is what the manufacturer claims.

This is the third time I have used this product, the first was on the paver lanai, the second on my paver walkway, and now on my paver driveway. Used a pump up sprayer to apply. Application is about 1000 ft^2 per 5 gallons. Dries quickly and does not streak or cause uneven color spots. Only problem is you have to keep pumping up the sprayer. Will use a pump driven sprayer next time. One nice thing about this product is that it does not require very much stirring. arrives pretty much premixed and I could see no settling on the bottom. To open it, you grab the plastic top with some plyers and gently pull the neck out. Took me a minute to figure that out the first time.

I don't leave reviews like I should but the Eagle Natural Seal compels me to. I'm not easy to please but this stuff is AWESOME! Does exactly what it claims and didn't change the appearance of my concrete driveway. I applied with a pump sprayer and smoothed with a roller (though the roller was really unnecessary in my case). Went on easily and dried quickly. The first rain approx. 3 days after application beaded up and ran off like a freshly-waxed car. The 5-gal size was just the right amount and I have a good-sized driveway. Time will tell when I'll need to re-seal but I know this will keep my concrete clean and in good shape for a year or more. Very good value for the amount you get and the benefits provided. Less expensive than other sealers and I can't imagine anything being better than this brand. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This product went on easy, I followed instructions on container, put on two coats using a garden sprayer and a paint roller. I have done half of the job so far, had to wait due to rain moving in. Water does stand on the surface of the concrete where applied but it would be better to review this product after a year or more of being exposed to the elements all year, then I could give it a true review. So wear ability is unknown which is to me a big unknown at this time. I applied the first part of the driveway when there was no rain in the forecast for at least two days, now waiting for Irma to move out of the area.

I researched many products and finally purchased this, mostly due to its fair price and great reviews. My last driveway had spalling all over the surface and looked awful. I didn't want that to happen again. My neighbor used a diff brand that rhymes with halspar. His driveway doesn't bead up water like mine. But it may be because he didn't apply it like I did. Here's how to apply this so that it looks like mine. Spray it on evenly with care, one section at a time. Spray the first section evenly then move to the next section and spray that. Look back at the previous section and again spray the spots that are already drying. Then use a paint roller on a long stick and roller over the surface to further ensure you get an even coating. Continue this process until you're all done. It dries quickly so be sure to do small sections at a time. Like 5x5 or however your driveway joints are cut. I purchased two 5-gal buckets and I only used 7.5 gallons total. I did approx 2100 square feet with 7.5 gallons. So 280 sqft per gallon. Surface is NOT slick from the sealer as you'd think it might be.

I used a hand pump spray bottle and then rolled it with a medium nap roller.. Easy!!! Five gallons does about thousand S.F. No smell.. And No color change.. Sprayed on with airless sprayer and evened out cross rolling with low nap roller on the smooth concrete and medium nap on the broom finish on the entry ramps. Water beads up and runs off the rmps and squeegees of the floor just fine.
