Hi, I lived near the snowbelt area in Cleveland, Oh. My Driveway is on a incline and I'm worried that during wet and icy seasons here. Will I need a "grip" additive when I apply this product?

Yes. Unfortunately what ever you add to make for traction it will eventually wear off over time and use.

Answer:
I can not speak for this product, but I used a gloss sealer for my drive way 2 years ago and it was the worst decision i made. When it was humid or wet the drive way was very slippery. I hated myself for doing that and would never make that mistake again. If you have a incline drive way i would advise to avoid any type of sealer that gives you a wet look (when dry).

Answer:
This is directly related to the coarseness of the stone or concrete. There are a wide variety of grip products you should use if applying this over very smooth concrete. if it is brushed concrete I would not think it is needed. If it is pavers, then no.

I would be cautious and test small square because solvents in sealer may not combine or possibly melt paint and you will have a mess.. Sealer is strong in chem. and fumes but does great job and follow directions.

I would not use this in a garage that is connected to a house. It has a strong odor that takes many days to air out. I would use a poly urethane instead.

I do not know for sure but I highly doubt it. I would go to a professional paint store and ask them about applying a solvent based clear coat like this over your floor. and definitely do testing before doing it over all the floor.

It means not water soluble. It takes a very volatile (and expensive) chemical to clean equipment. The "acrylic" refers to the type of plastic used in the product.

A solvent based product can help make applying the product easier, the drying of the product and the formation of the product once applied. Although once dried it evaporates into the air and can be a health hazard. Customers these days are more likely to buy a water soluble product as opposed to a solvent based product.

Answer:
welcome and good question...
This sealer is not water based (eagle sells a water based one) and can only be applied to new pavers or existing pavers that have been sealed with solvent based (or OIL BASED) sealer.
This sealer is not that glossy but holds up extremely well and is easy to apply.
Good luck

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing results! A little goes a long way! I have a two stamped, stained patio's, with a connector sidewalk and a long sidewalk to the driveway. I thought I might have to order more, but i would start with the 5 gal. bucket. I ended up with at least a quarter of the 5 gal. bucket left-over. Easy to apply. Stays glossy. It's three weeks later now and still looks like a brand new patio! Great stuff! September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved it we purchased this product not knowing exactly what we were doing. With some internet surfing we found how to apply this product and what to expect for a finished surface. we are very pleased with the results. we applied to the entire floor plan which was not the original plan. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product, make sure you have the right sprayer or roller... otherwise don't write a bad review, it will be you not the product I have used this product for a number of years and it is consistent in quality. IMPORTANT TIP: use a very high quality sprayer. The average pump sprayer will not deliver a good experience as they will clog up very fast, and the average pump wands drip incessantly even when the trigger is not deployed. May I suggest the Chapin 19249 Extreme dripless 3.5 gallon model. It is of steel construction and designed to spray a high solids product and tolerate solvents. You will have sticker shock, but in the long run this tank will last you a very long time (if you keep it cleaned and cared for). Make sure to clean up with a run through of solvent such as Xylene and a final run through of Mineral Spirits as a final conditioner. -- This product will add a "wet look" to your block, and darken the sheen slightly. See photo for an example of sealed block vs a grey unsealed block sitting on top of the block run. -- Also, this product is a high solids acrylic and will begin to dry fairly fast. Your first application will require more product. Renew applications may be done at 2 or 3 year intervals. -- You may add a thinner such as Xylene to aid in pump dispersion, although do not add more than a quart per two gallons of original material. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as expected, good product I have about 750 square feet and I may have put extra product on the stones. I purchased 15 gallons and applied a sprayed coat back rolled. I soaked the sand with sealer and rolled a coat over the the whole patio. I used about 11 gallons and a major portion went into the sand joints to harden and seal them. I expected a shiny wet look but it did not come out as I had envisioned. The right side is 3rd coated and the left side is just second coat, I had previously coated most as there is a small extension. This is second use of the product and I would recommend. In Florida the sealer has a shorter life and requires reseal sooner than I would expect. We had rain and the beading is as expected. May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by fades in the sun and is not very durable I'm a home owner and not a commercial applier. I applied this product as directed to my stamped concrete and to my exposed aggregate concrete. It looked great when I was finished applying it. But within a few months in the sun it started to fade and I could see the roller strokes on the surface. Now after 5 months in the sun it is dull and I will need to redo the sealing next spring. I have purchased other products that has lasted 3 years between resurfacing. I tried this product because it was cheaper. You get what you pay for. I will not use this product again. October 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Concrete Sealer for Exposed Aggregate The concrete sealer was delivered quickly to my home. The instruction were easy to understand. The product was easy to put down. I used a roller with a 3/4" nap. The coverage was a little better than described. I put down 2 coats the concrete looks great. The gloss look is not too extreme. I would describe it as just right. I will definitely re-order this product again when I need to re-seal my patio. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best sealer ever This is the best sealer that I have ever used. It was easy to apply with a spray pump and a roller. My pavers soaked it up, so I used more they what I initially thought I needed. The pavers had a wet look but were not slippery like other past dealers. Only buying this product from now on. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gave my porous pavers 4 coats and they shine brilliantly. Envy of the neighborhood! As for the problem with pouring, just pry open the tabs around the lid and remove it. I used a large glass measuring cup to dip into the bucket and fill my roller pan. October 25, 2016
