Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Variable heat adjustment Most heat guns I’ve ever used only had a high and low setting, this model has a digital control and display on the back of it where you can set the temperature of the heat gun. This is a very nice feature especially when you need to heat up something that is extremely delicate. It comes with a scraper, and a few heat air flow attachments. The unit and all accessories fit nicely in a hard plastic case which can stack nicely on a shelf with other tools. December 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a moose! Plenty of heat, almost too much. This heat-gun is a moose! It has variable air flow speed and heat (120-1200 *F). The controls are as follow: On-off switch with 2 preset settings, which you can adjust. Up and down buttons for the heat temperature. Up and down buttons for the air flow rate (fan speed). Once you set these in either the 1 or 2 position, they will stay set for the next time. The LCD display is dark, a little hard to read, but then you normally won't be using it each time. I burnt my fingers on the tip after having the gun on for only a few seconds (mea culpa, but a warning label might be appreciated). One thing I wish had been included is a spot focus tip for fine work (shrink tubing in tight locations), but I suppose that could be a hazard with the potential to use too much heat and air flow on it, even though those are adjustable. I may make my own and try to be careful. Definitely a good product, at least at first. December 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Came in Handy I did not know that I had 2 jobs for this new heat gun until, bam, here it was. The first job was when we were installing our new rainshower head and there was all this hard, dry caulking in the wall opening. We were able to soften it to dig it out. The other job was to get an old village parking sticker off the fender of the car. For 2 years, we could not peel it off. October 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Heat Gun for a great price The Genesis LCD Heat Gun has exceeded my expectation for the price. I decided to get a heat gun because it is so hard to remove old caulking with a razor knife. This heat gun softened the caulk and made it so easy to remove. I also used it to remove some old adhesive on a truck that I am restoring. I had tried using several different chemicals but heat was the solution to my problem. I highly recommend a heat gun to any handyman or home owner. This gun at this price, you can't go wrong. November 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool w/multiple uses The Earlex Professional LCD Heat Gun worked very well. It removed really old paint spots from my front porch. It's a great product with a lot of different uses. It comes in a really nice case, and has several accessories to help get your job done. January 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a nice heat gun This heat gun works as advertised. It comes with a variety of tips for a variety of uses. It looks to be well made and should give me years of trouble free service. April 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressive I was very impressed with this Professional heat gun, on the first job out of the box. I have been trying hard to scrap old paint off my shed door, when my new heat gun arrived. I pulled it right out of the box and put it to work. The gun was easy set up and heated to the intended temperature immediately. I pointed the heat nozzle 1" from the board as explained in the instructions. The heat immediately started just peeling back the paint with little effort from me. The job took little to no scrapping. Just point the heat gun and watch the paint peel back. This job went quick and easy with the use of the heat gun. I am looking forward to using it on other jobs around the house. It can go from 120-1200 degrees and with the LCD screen it is easy to read. The heat gun is so lightweight, that you can hold it in one hand. Included is the heavy duty case and six accessories. I would recommend this Professional Heat Gun to anyone looking to get the job done. October 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice features I really like the fact that you can control the temperature in 20 degree increments, makes it easier to control the amount of heat you put toward something. The metal attachments that came with it seem to be kind of flimsy and bend pretty easily January 4, 2014
