I use the auger around the house and for test hole plugs in the desert for prospecting

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 in. Earth Auger Bit I have a Earthquake power head with a 6" auger ordered this to have the ability to set smaller posts. Fits on my machine just fine. My main complaint would be the cost, which I think is to steep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fester then digging Not much to say. It does the job on hard pack. Should have tension spring like the other larger augers bits. Note dug 20 holes in 1 1/2 hours wail on oxygen therapy. it works.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to use auger...if you receive the right tool to tighten bolt After unpacking the auger and untightening the bolt that attaches the auger to the power head...the bolt did not come with a large (approx. 1/4 inch) hex wrench to tighten the unit in place...plus untighten. I found a temporary substitute but really need to get a good tight fit hex wrench so as not to round-off the head. As for the auger itself...far better and lighter to use than the 6 in that I previously bought. Sure wish the Earthquake power head had a reverse button to back the auger out of the moist soil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Sturdy. I like the simple hex-head bolt for attachment (Need metric hex wrench which does NOT come with). This diameter is good hole starter for my one-man powerhead in hard-pan clay.
