I have purchased a new battery for my mower just this week and it took 19 hours and the lights in the charger are still red. The instruction says it takes 15 hours. Do I need a new charger or should I keep the battery in there longer?

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay lawn mower I like this mower but it is probably better suited for a smaller yard. It is nice because it is quiet and lightweight but because it is small it takes longer to do the yard. Also sometimes I mow over the grass and it doesn't seem to cut that well. The grass springs back up. I suppose it just doesn't have the power of a motor mower. At least I can cut the grass early in the morning without waking my neighbors. I also like that you can take the battery out and then the mower is pretty light. You could hang it up without the battery in. Also then you can keep the battery in the house though the winter and charge it up every month or so like they tell you to. December 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little mower I'm going on 83, and my 22 inch gas mower has become too much for me, so this little jewel is perfect. It was so easy to assemble that I didn't even have to refer to the instruction manual. It took a bit to get it out of the box because it is too heavy for me to lift, but after I installed the handle I simply tilted the box and it rolled right out. I have a rather large yard so I can't cut it all with one charge, but a "charge break," lunch, and a little rest and it is ready to go again. I prefer the side discharge because it pushes easier than with mulching; besides, I start on the outside and go around to the right so that the discharged clippings are actually mulched with every go 'round. It's easy, it works, and truth-be-told, it's FUN. June 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love mine... I've used mine for two summers now and it still runs perfect. I have a small yard and it takes 25-40 minutes to mow depending on how long the grass is. Last winter I left the battery in the mower in an unheated garage and only charged it up once over the winter without any noticeable detriment to the battery run time. I would recommend this mower (model 60517) but read somewhere it may be discontinued. November 1, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Battery life is terrible The mower works very well and gives a decent cut. The battery life is terrible. Despite monthly charges and indoor storage, the battery will not hold a full charge and gives out in 1 year. I have had it for two years and am giving it away for a gas mower. May 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The early returns are positive The positives: It's quiet, and it starts right up, easily, every time. That's quite a change from my pull-the-chord gas mower. It does an adequate to good job, and the charge easily lasts long enough to do my yard (takes about 1 hour). It's great not to have to go out to buy gas, and there are no exhaust fumes. Recharging it is very simple. I was able to assemble it quickly and easily. The negatives: It's heavier than I thought it would be; the shipping weight was 75 pounds. That's not a problem for me, but may be for someone a little older. The swath it cuts is a little narrower than my old gas mower, so it takes a little longer to mow the lawn. It does a pretty good, but not great job of cutting; certain areas of the yard look much better if I go over them twice. All in all, it's been a good purchase at a good price, and I'd recommend it. It's still early to talk about durability and reliability, of course. August 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Mower got this mower for my 81 year old mother. The mower was a cinch to put together and so easy to start. No more pull cords, gas or oil to mess with. The battery comes out so you can store it in the house over the winter. It's fairly easy to push and blows away the competitors - I found Toro and Black and Decker to be over priced. This mower is super and will surely pay for itself in the end while gas prices continue to rise. May 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely nice for price This mower is very easy to use and handle. On the first use the grass was extremely high but it did a great job. The only faults I can find is that the mowing strip area is only about 17" wide which if you have a big yard would take a while to mow. The other issue is the operating handle is plastic which I am afraid may break quickly. I guess we'll find out!! August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to start, easy to adjust cutting height, handle for starting is plastic, but great mower, used 5 x so far & love it. I wish the starting handle were not plastic, but that's my only complaint. Fully charges in 16 hours, my lawn usually only uses 1/2 battery power (more if the grass is longer). Only assembly required was to attach the (adjustable) handle. I've never been able to start a regular mower, but this one is a dream. It runs so quietly my dog doesn't even bark at it. I LOVE not having to get gas for it. May 2, 2013
