Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a good tool but not great. As far as corded pole hedge trimmers are concerned this trimmer stands alone. At best, it is a poor compromise between an ordinary hand-held trimmer and a pole extension. As a handheld trimmer it handles and performs well. With the trimmer attached to the top of the extended pole it is heavy and best used in the vertical position. The convertibility from a pole trimmer to a hand-held trimmer is a good feature and easy to do. For hedges within the comfortable height range of this product extended it's not bad at all. In my case I am tasked with trimming 200 feet of oleanders with a height of 16 feet in some places. So the Earthwise trimmer is one of several tools that I use. I would much rather have a pole trimmer with the motor at the bottom with a harness and a hook. I suppose that there is one out there but I couldn't find it. In the final analysis it's a good product but's not a great one. As a hand-held trimmer it is very good. As a extended pole trimmer it's OK but be prepared for a workout. February 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate, but not great This new pole hedge trimmer is much heavier than my previous one and is much more uncomfortable to use when fully extended. The button that you must hold in to operate cannot be held in place in the on position. Therefore, there is only one position in which you can hold your hands comfortably while operating the unit. It is awkward to use on my high hedges without the ability to change my hand positions. Unfortunately, it was the only model of an electric extended length hedge trimmer I could find. I preferred my older Hedgehog!!! June 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very satisfied with the product. trimmer works very well, it is a little heavy when fully extended. Cuts nice,,does the job! June 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by works good Cuts great, runs great, it is a bit heavy when extended, but have not found a lighter alternative. This tool may keep you from falling off a ladder from reaching out too far. June 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great! This is a really finely engineered item, I have an Earthwise electric lawnmower I bought a few years ago that was so good that when my new neighbor borrowed it once he ordered one for himself too. As far as the trimmer go its well built and works great. The ONLY drawback I have with it is that being well built and solid it is pretty heavy and you need some pretty good upper body strength to get the most out of it. But even for us old guys if you pace yourself you will love what you can get done with extra reach versus having to get a bigger ladder to reach those high spots! September 23, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Only a 15 inch cutting head This trimmer comes without a handle and is hard to control. The cutting head is only fifteen inches and not the eighteen as advertized. Since all of the weight is at the cutting end, it tires you out quickly if you have a lengthly job to do. I fabricated a handle out of pvc and also contacted their customer service to resolve this issue. March 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pole trimmer I use mine on my slopes. It works well for the tasks I purchased it for. April 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by just what i needed it was just what i needed to do the job. i have very high bushes and after my land scaper raised his rates i decided to do it myself. It will pay for itself in two summers. it is alittle top heavy but what do you want, it's a trimmer on the end of a pole so it is what it is. August 14, 2014
