Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This mower is AWESOME!!! I am loving this mower! As a single woman and in need of a mower, I chose an electric style because I can never get that dang cord pulled fast enough to start it and also because I hate having to buy gas and oil and deal with that mess. I purchased a 100' locking extension cord to go with the mower and have used the mower twice now. It is fantastic! Crazy easy to start so am loving that! Working with the cord is a new concept but am adapting quickly. It looks great. Not at all 'cheap' and has a nice comfortable feel to it. I can't express how happy I am with this purchase. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Electric is the way to go if you have a small lawn Light weight(easy to manuver). Same motor(12A) as other more expensive models with bag(I don't use bag). Quiet. No gas. No oil. No pull start. No fumes. No vibration. When you have solar panels(30 Sanyo 225 watt panels on my roof-elec bill <$5 per month-GO SOLAR) it just makes sense to go electric and let the sun pay to cut your grass. Even if you don't have PV panels it's still a good idea. Bought a Troybilt elec(from the other BOX store), but it lasted 1 day. AC to DC bridge rectifier shorted out causing circuit breaker to trip. All the elec lawn mowers use DC motors. Go elec and forget the fossil fuels! August 19, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad the cord is a pain... I grew up with a gas lawn mower and this is the first lawn mower I've had to purchased. I had compared electric and gas and this seemed like the better choice, but to be honest -- I'd go back to a gas. The cord is a pain to deal with. It's do-able and I've adjusted the way I mow, but my fiance said he would have returned it as soon as he started and bought a gas. It's very easy to use though and isn't a bad product. It's just that cord! If you're ok with a cord, then I would recommend this mower. It works well, and like I said is very easy to use. I like having the mulching feature. March 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better Than Expected! I was prepared to be disappointed but this is a great little mower. Very good quality, simple to use, no gas, no oil, minimal noise and it looks good too! It is all I need for a town house with a fast growing front lawn. Combined with my edger the result is a neatly lined and trimmed professional looking lawn every two weeks. Assembling the handle and the side discharge was simple. I cut the box down the sides, attached and adjusted the handle height and rolled it right outside. Don't get turned off by the cord, you get used to it. I am back because I didn't order the bag first time out, also I am getting some protective goggles. So far so good... so I rated good, just received about a month ago. Will update in 6 months or so. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy and inexpensive....for a small yard So far, so good. It's easy to assemble, light to push, pretty quiet......and was able to cut through my lawn filled with heavy weeds....... Hopeful that it will be durable....Was kind of holding my breathe to see if it could handle some rocky areas, but it did just fine! October 28, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The wheels fell off. The really good things about this mower were the ease of starting, adjustment of height, and the quiet. Unfortunately the wheels would lock up. Then when they were loosened, they fell off. Replacing the bolt six or seven times in about a thirty minute time span just didn't work for me. I returned the mower to the local Home Depot. That was the very best part of the whole experience. The return took only about ten minutes from start to finish. July 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would be nice if it could be made a little lighter, otherwise works great. Mower works fine, I use it as a "mulching" mower and never have to rake up clippings - the clippings are so fine they disappear into the lawn. After 7 - 8 uses I found the blade to be losing some of it's sharpness and leaving the grass with some browning at the tips. Recommend an occasional sharpening to keep things at optimum. I like the height adjustment feature, much better than most systems I have had in the past., June 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by APPROPRIATE FOR INTENDED SERVICE Earthwise 18in Cord Elect Mower probably the best choice for my small area lawn. Positives: Light, quiet, metal deck, durable cord attachment, quick height adjustment, blade easily removable, adaptable for mulching, small for easy storage in garage. Downside: Flimsy plastic interlock lever, Brand website misleading by inferring USA made. In fact, when delivered via mail order, container lists manufacturer as China. January 15, 2013
