Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but...... This is a good product and a good value. It performs like a champ and makes short work of even large branches (10" diameter). The only down side is that this thing is heavy. When it is collapsed (as short as it gets) it's a real winner. But... when it is fully extended you better have some serious muscles to stabalize it. My wife can't use it due to the weight but even I found it difficult fully extended and I'm a weight lifter. Put it this way: The pole saw is great for any trimming you have. But keep in mind fully extended, if you can't lift a 9 foot 2x4 with a cement block on the end you will not like this saw. Good product and would reccomend it. November 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great for annual tree trimming I have 3 oak trees and a number of smaller ones that need annual trimming. After doing considerable research, I was convinced an electric pole saw was the product I needed. I continued researching electric saws, and based on user reviews I was sold on this product. As indicated by many other reviewers, the saw was a bit heavy when fully extended, but not unreasonable. The largest limbs I needed to trim were 6-7 inches, and this saw cut through them with ease. The vast majority of the limbs were 2-3 inches, and the saw worked fabulously. I would highly recommend this to anyone with similar needs - terrific cutting power. I'll look forward to using it next year. April 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great trimmer. This little trimmer is the best. For years, I cut branches with a hand cutter. Bad news - strains the muscles and tendens in your arms and puts a dent in your thigh. Then I tried a Black and Decker battery-driven pruner. It lasted 20 mins before the safety switch broke. Typical Black and Decker. I searched around and found this one. Wow. Well built, simple, compact, and light. Cuts like a charm. Yes, it's a bit top heavy when extended, but they all are. That's where the motor is. Sharp. Cuts well. And don't worry about using long electric cords with it. It works just fine, even with the theoretical drop in voltage. Terrific, particularly at this price - which is excellent. I'd like to see more from this company. Buy with confidence with respect to this one. December 11, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Review EVER!!! I baught this saw not really expecting it to handle the abuse I knew it would recieve as it was purchased for clearing limbs on my hunting lease. I used it for 4 days solid while running a generator in the back of my Polaris Ranger. It rode in the back for the entire time and cut limb after limb as i burnt through 3 full tanks of gas in the generator. It never missed a beat!! I honestly did not baby it or "take it easy" on it in any way and cut limbs from 1" to a full 8-9" in diameter without any problems. I never let the chain hit the ground which is the key to keeping a chainsaw sharp and never had to sharpen it once the entire 4 days. This truely is one amazing little saw!! I am actually online to order another now just so I can have a spare. You cant go wrong with this one. By the way................ I NEVER write reviews but felt I had to on this one!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Powerfull and easy to use..Fi I'm no youngster, so I bought this one because it seamed to be the best that I looked at, and I was not disappointed... The eight inch bar is just large enough to take care of anything that you need to cut in an average size yard.....Used it to take down a tree that overhung the garage, trimming the high branches in small parts so as not to fall and damage the roof. Using it to trim other foliage around an average size property without climbing on an unstable latter. GREAT! No gas, no pulling, just push a button.... May 15, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good so far effective reach is 10 ft saw extends to 9 ft, but the switch requires constant pressure and is located at the end of the handle. To keep controll the end of the saw has to be waist high to chest high ,which reduces the reach., This one is top heavy, but all electric pole saws are top heavy, The saw cuts well and is easy to extend. Comes with out the chain on and is a bit hard to put on. .Love the automatic oiler, March 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by love this new tool for me being a lady, I went electric, then we had a power outage and I wished I had gone gas... but love this pole saw. I found the location of the engage button awkward, perhaps if it were on the top of the handle not the side? but besides that, this pole chain saw is perfect for me. Light enough to handle safely, the saw was far enough away from me that I didn't worry about hurting myself... all in all I love it, now a few of my neighbors (men) are looking into getting one also !! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw Took minutes to assemble, Just install the bar and chain and add bar oil. Easy to use. In one hour I had a pile of limbs 5 ft high by 6 ft wide. Being able to change the angle of the cutting head is a great feature. The saw is powerful and cuts quick. I sawed though a 8 in branch almost as quick as a chain saw. Nice ergo handle with a cord retention hook that works great to keep the cord pluged in. I plan on using my generator to power it, out in my field. June 27, 2011
