Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Homeguy51 Works well, but stared leaking oil
I've had this trimmer for 2 years and use it to trim palm fronds on my property in Florida. The palm fronds are tough and quite heavy, and it does the job. I seldom use it on tree branches. It holds a charge decently and is easy to use. But recently, I noticed a puddle of oil on my garage floor where the trimmer was leaning against a wall. The cap on the oil reservoir was tight, so it is leaking internally--all the way down the shaft, soaking the foam rubber casing around the handle. Disappointing after 2 years of relatively light use. So I can't recommend it. It looks like the Ryobi One + may be a better trimmer for the money. Or maybe for $99, you can't expect much. I remember when power tools were built to last, but those days are long gone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dick Amazingly satisfied
Well engineered. Easy to assembly without tools although a screw driver would help to adjust the tension in the chain. I have used it off and on for five months now and continue to be satisfied. It is not as fast as a gas powered chain saw but I have used it to cut one to four-inch dia. limbs quite effectively. It has two, easily operated, sliding joints that allow it to be extended (9ft.)or retracted (6 1/2 ft.) readily. I have cut limbs up to 14 feet above the ground. It weighs 9 lbs. or a little more than a gallon jug of milk. It is well balanced with the battery and motor at opposite ends. It does require some strength to hold it up overhead for the 30 to 50 seconds required to make some cuts. As with all powered cutting tools, one must exercise care and caution particularly in cutting large overhead widow makers.
The auto oiler works well. No cord or fuel to worry about and it starts instantly and reliably. I am 75 years old and only work a couple of hours at a time cutting and hauling away the debris. I estimate that I get 20-30 cuts of 2-inch dia. limbs before the battery and me need recharging. It takes several hours to recharge the battery. The chain is Oregon brand and cuts as well now as it when it was new. I have only green wood. It might not do to well with dry dead oak. However, it sure beats standing on a tall ladder and using a razor hand saw!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ABEW THIS PRODUCT HAS MORE FEATURES THAN OTHER BRANDS.
EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE NEEDED FOR SOMETIME TO TRIM THE SEED PODS AND THORNY BRANCHES FROM SEVERAL PALM TREES I HAVE. THE ADJUSTABLE HEAD TO DIFFERENT ANGLES MAKES IT MUCH EASIER TO GET INBETWEEN THE LIMBS YOU DON'T WANT TO CUT AND TO REACH THE ONES YOU NEED TO CUT. ALSO THE AUTOMATIC OILER FOR THE CUTTING CHAIN MAKES IT A LOT EASIER AS YOU DON'T HAVE TO STOP AND MANUALLY OIL IT OR FORGET TO OIL IT AND END UP BURNING THE CHAIN UP.
WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SEEN THE POLE EXTEND A FEW MORE FEET, OTHER THAN THAT IT'S A GREAT TOOL.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by glenn Product works great and is good value
This product works fine as described. It is not a commercial product since it's mostly plastic, but for cutting high palm branches, it works fine. I'm not sure if I would want to cut a 6" oaks branch with it, but it's great for my needs. All my neighbors are borrowing it. It's great that it comes with the battery and charger for this price. A lot of these saws do not! I recommend it for the right application.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bapi Features, including tilting saw-head is very useful. Overall an excellent product for its price.
It is an easy to assemble, easy to use product. The tilt-head is an important feature. The product can be improved a bit by making it slightly lighter. The overall rating is good to excellent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TBone The product exceeded my expectations.
I had a lot of damage from the April 27th storm, to the trees. A lot of the damage was high in the trees and unreachable with a regular chain saw. This product allowed me access to that damage. I admit I was skeptical, as to a cordless chain saw's power, but was pleasantly surprised. This product exceeded all my expectations and has paid for itself many times over.
