Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as promised, it works I used this saw to cut 2-3" limbs, seedlings and saplings and the performance was great! Check the chain tension at regular intervals and cutting is a breeze! April 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected I selected this model because it had a 10 amp motor. And, sure enough, it has remarkably good torque for such a light weight saw. I have cut down a couple of large diameter trees. Now, it does not perform like a gasoline saw, and you do have to be clever with your cuts and patient. However, it is much easier than using an axe. You can set it down for 10 minutes without worrying if it will start again. It is also considerably quieter than a gasoline saw. I have used it for several hours already, and find it to be a great value. My yard looks MUCH better. Highly recommended! Invest in 14 gauge extension cord. Electrons are the key to success with this machine. August 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really great! I had a big laurel tree I had to take out in the backyard, plus some fruit tree trimming to do pretty soon, so I needed a decent chainsaw. I didn't have a lot of extra money to spend and it seemed like a decent gas saw was going to be pretty expensive. So after some searching on Homedepot's website I found the earthwise 'saws. The main trunk of this laurel is 16-18 inches in diameter and I was able to cut all the way through with a wedge cut and back cut, no problem. This saw is easy to use, powerful, durable. I only had the chain slip on me once and it was totally my own fault. July 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent within its limits Bought this for light tree trimming, after years of cutting wood with gas saws. This little guy is sweet, until you ask too much of it. Very light, quiet, easy to use, chain tension simple to adjust, stays adjusted. Working with an electric cord took some getting used to, and a new cord. This saw lacks the power to cut effectively in through 8 inch logs, did well on everything less than that. Note: the chain oiler is apparently just a drip hole, so it keeps dripping whenever bar oil is left in the reservoir, whether on the shelf or elsewhere. Suggest draining the reservoir after using! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well made and good price I have used this chain saw a few different times cutting tree limbs of about 4 inches in diameter, and it has worked very well, like cutting through butter. I like its solid construction, the ability to adjust the chain tension with the side wheel, and not require wrenches like my old electric chain saw. The other neat thing is the automatic chain lubrication, which makes it one less thing to be concerned about. There is a nice side window that lets you easily see how much lubricating oil is left. It does not seem to use that much, and yet I can tell the chain is being lubricated. I have no regrets about this product, but the only bad experience was the torned up condition of the packaging when the UPS delivered it. It looked like there could have been damage, but the saw was in perfect condition. August 24, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy I found that this was a great buy. Have used this saw for about 2 months and have cut down about 2 dozen trees (up to about 9" diameter, oak & maple). If you are a heavy user and/or are cutting bigger trees this may not serve your purposes. However for most "household" trimming, I think this serves very well. In comparison, before I ordered this product I spent 2 weekends borrowing gas-powered chain saws from neighbors. The best result was one neighbor spent over 30 minutes getting his chainsaw running. In the other 2 cases, the owners were not able to get their saws running. Electric saw means truly minimal maintenance, which is great for the occasional user. Biggest downsides so far are: 1) I wouldn't want to use it to cut bigger trees (12" dia or larger); and 2) it does seem to leak chain-oil when its not in use. October 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! I used this chainsaw to trim a large tree in the yard, and it worked great. The chain initially fell off within the first few minutes of use - it was easy enough to reinstall and tighten, and I never had that happen again. The saw is lightweight and easy to use, and cut through some think wood easily. A good price and value, it arrived quickly and I am very pleased with it. September 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product & well made. Well made and comfortable to use. Dual safety switch works more smoothly than most others. Not sure I like the dual knob arrangement for the chain tensioner and lock, but it did work fine. Nice high amperage, so it is powerful enough at least to my 4" diam branches. Better looking than most electric chain saws. November 11, 2013
