I bought 3 of these to try out, thinking they would be like "grow bags". (which i use with success!) I only opened 1and they are NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! and of course wanted to share my frustration towards this product.
- This "bag" is not water permeable, It's then obviously not air permeable...
- This is a plastic lined burlap shopping bag!
- It has 1, 1/4in brass ring "drain hole"...
- that drain hole wouldn't work if you only put rocks in this bag!!!!
BEWARE! They will kill healthy bean plants within a month (see attached pictures)

I used the 1 bag i purchased last year this summer for one of my 2 cucumber plants. mind you I had already noted it's single drain hole. Using a pair of very sharp, pointed snips I made haft inch cuts in the bottom, about 2" away from each corner. This growbag is the perfect size for using a square "tomato cage", which has been a perfect support for the vines of my burpless cucumbers.
So no these grow bags aren't perfect, but they are sturdy, and easy to move after planting. Just use some common sense, and you can normally overcome a minor design flaw.
