Customer Questions & Answers

Is it heavy enough to offer privacy with one layer

Asked by: Dot
Dot: I think that depends a lot on what you're doing under or behind it? It permits some light and ventilation through other wise you'd be encasing yourself in a plastic bag. I use it to shade my garden from the summer sun and it does make a big difference. I hope that helps, Hank

does the rain pass thru the screen?

Asked by: harry
Harry: Yes, but it helps if it's level or it has a tendency to collect in the low spots. I hope that helps, Hank

I need solar panel for glass door.

Sun is burning wood inner door, what do you suggest?
Asked by: Msrilyn
Msrilyn: We may not be talking about the same thing? Mine is a roll of tightly knitted cloth like material I stretch over my garden to protect it from the brutal summer sun. My mother in law in Florida had her west facing windows tinted for what I suspect you need. It's a film on the glass windows that allows you to see out but others can't see in and it helps cool the rooms from the afternoon sun. I wouldn't be surprised if your local Home Depot has some thing like that too. I hope that helps, Hank

We use this product to shade the carport on the west side of our Florida home. It really does drop the temperature on the carport by 15 degrees even on the hottest days! Shades the car, too, which is important here. We first screened the carport four years ago and except for a few holes we made (one by the hot lid of a grill) it really held up well. If I did not have such an aversion to those holes I would not have had to redo the carport screening. It looks really nice, too. I have had other residents in our Park stop me to ask what we used and how it works. I recommend this product send them right to the Home Depot because it usually is not in stock in the store here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the green sunscreen fabric I haven't used this roll yet but the rest of my garden is covered with it from last year or the year before. I take it out in May, hang it over my vegetable garden and roll it back up in October or November. It keeps my plants alive in the merciless afternoon summer sun in Corona. Great stuff!
