States that it is self adhesive and will adhere to carpets to keep from sliding all over the carpet or flooring. This doesn't even stick to itself. Spend a lot on a full box of it and it was useless.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gary Fantastic product, no tape needed.
Covered all our windows, cabinets and doors before texturing and painting. Easy to use, some cabinets needed tape.
Over all very pleased.

I need plastic, drop cloths all the time. I am constantly doing some kind of work and need to protect carpets and hardwood floors. I like this large 9' x 400' roll which is larger than others I've gotten before. This means I can close off parts of a room with a plastic film curtain that makes cleanup much quicker and keeps down dust. It is light weight, the blue tape rolls hold up the lightweight film easily. It is thin but tough enough to carefully walk over. The material thickness to me is similar to that of plastic grocery bags, but not the same exact material. I had no problem with tangling and bunching up or the film sticking to itself with some other brands. When it did collapse it was easy to separate. The manufacturer says it attracts paint over-spray, but wasn't able to test that feature. I recommend this film for painting, sanding and plastering and to cover furniture and household items. Its very thin so this isn't for extended outdoor use.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer Not for carpets
I bought this to cover carpets while removing popcorn ceilings. I specifically asks the clerk if it would stick to carpet and she said "yes". It dos NOT!.
It does cling to solid surface such as Windows and paneling, but as a carpet protector, look for something else.

cling cover work really well. It stayed on the wall, cabinets and over the dooways. We use it to keep the dust under controll when we had our hardwood floors sanded.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DanRoanoke Static cling is very nice
I just bought a roll yesterday as I begin a project of repairing drywall damage in a ceiling. I used this product to cover the wall and floor near where I am working. The "static cling" allows me to press it flat against the wall and floor and have it stay where I have pressed it (by sliding my hand across the surface, with no hard pressure required). Just to be sure I put a few small strips of masking tape along the top of the piece on the wall.
The way it sticks to the floor means that it is not moving about as I walk across it. When I used it as a drop cloth over some wooden furniture, it clings nicely to the flat surfaces of the furniture, using the same "press it flat by rubbing an open hand over the surface" technique as on the wall and floor. The cling worked just as well on finished surfaces of the furniture as on the "unfinished" back side. (It's a matter of static electricity, like rubbing a balloon on a sweater and then putting the balloon next to a wall and having it stick.)
Please note that the package instructions indicate that the "print side" should NOT be against the surface being protected. I suppose this is a matter of the black print coming off and remaining on the protected surface.

Easy Mask Clingcover Plastic Sheeting is a great product! It is self-adhering and perfect for painting, sanding and protecting surfaces. We are in the process of remodeling and painting around the house. I have used painters plastic which does not stay in place. This product stays in place while you paint. It comes in a 9ft by 400ft easy to use box. It is almost like saran wrap but much stronger. Once the job is done, just roll up and throw away. Makes painting and remodeling much easier.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MomtheBuilder Great protection
This is a great product. I hung sheets of it from the ceiling while doing dry wall repair. It really did attract the dust to keep the repair area contained and cleaner than it would be without it. I also used it to cover a carpet while painting some furniture. It is not heavy duty and could tear, but a couple of layers will do fine for light floor protection. I only wish there were an included cutter edge on the box like cling wrap has, but otherwise it's great as it is.
