I moved into a new apartment with extremely high ceilings and needed a ladder to reach my top cabinets. The other issue was trying to find one that would fit in a narrow 6" gap by the refrigerator when closed. My contractor recommended ladders from the Container Store that ran $79 or $99. Before I bought one of those, I perused HD online and found this step ladder. It's sturdy, light and folds very thin (3 1/2"). The little holes at the top are great for tools or light bulbs. And it was 1/2 the price!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kotaishi For the home owner, not the pro. Love the light weight!
I like everything about this except that it's not made for a pro to use every day, all day. I've used, broken, and returned two of them. The second rung likes to break. Very easy to move from place to place it is so light. If you're a home owner, or DIY kinda person, great! Don't expect it to hold up to the use of a contractor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Nice step ladder
It is a good, light weight ladder with a handy parts and tool tray at the top. The bottom two steps are rigidly constructed in a hollow tubular D-ish design. The plastic third step platform has a built-in locking feature that keeps the ladder open securely and has an easy to use closing mechanism.

Ladder is easy to carry around and small enough to fit in your car, but the aluminum dents easily around the legs. Also, not a fan of the ladder flopping open/close while carrying it around or storing it behind the door. They should have some sort of clasp that holds it shut, so your kids don't get their fingers pinched while getting the ladder for you. Also, the rubber feet are not screwed on at the bottom, so they tend to fall off. I took a hot glue gun and glued the rubber feet, so they won't fall off. Then I taped strips of adhesive velcro between the legs, so the ladder stays shut until you need to open it for use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by renovator the guys aren't laughing anymore.. they're buying their own now.
So.. the other guys laughed when i brought this stepper to a gut renovation work site, but now it's the most often "borrowed" ladder in the place. it is unbelievably light and convenient with very easy one handed carry and operation. Fantastic for use in standard bathrooms e.g., as it straddles tubs and toilets easily while working in such a tight space, It also provides incredible reach as you can lean very far on this stepper with ease and safety. This was an excellent buy for me and it has proven to be durable, as it has survived multiple renovation jobs.

I love this ladder. I am a maintenance technician at an apartment complex and this lite ladder is very handy especially having to go up several flights with a heavy tool box and a ladder . I definitely recommend it!!!

The size is perfect for indoor jobs. Also great for a lot of outdoor jobs. It's so light weight that a child can easily move it around. I can't believe I never had one before.
