How thick are the panels?

How thick are the panels?
Asked by: RVABQ
Not thick at all in fact I found it easy to work with because it wasn't really thick I had to climb into my shower base and get into a corner. I was able to fold or bend it to fit without any problem.

how much trimming can be done?

how much trimming can be done? My shower enclosure is 31" for the back wall and 29" for the side walls.
Asked by: dahnb2000
With this particular product you can trim the sides and back to whatever dimensions you need, my only issue would be the actual size of the shower itself. An enclosure less then 32 inches is very small and anything below 30 would make it hard to find an actual base for your shower. This has to be applied to a flat dry surface and uses an adhesive. Good luck with your install. Cuts with a razor knife. Score and cracks similar to cutting Sheetrock.

Customer Reviews

Easy Wall 37 in. x 43 in. x 72.75 in. Five Piece Glue-up Shower Wall in White is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied with product Shipping for the shower walls was almost as much as it was to purchase but we have a shower that is oddly sized and there were no other kits in stock sized to fit. The package came undamaged and the walls were what I expected. They went up fine and look good. I have done a number of showers of this type so it was pretty routine. If this is the first time to install a package like this you might have to get used to the idea of five separate pieces that do not snap together or have any alignment marks. Just plain panels that have to be measured and cut to fit (probably the three sides anyway, not the corners) and positioned on the wall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy This was very easy to install into our odd sized shower. We used a quick grab glue. Approx 1-1/2 tube per wall. Worked out to 6 total with the corner pieces. Check all your pieces for breakage. We lost a corner on one piece that we were able to put under the corner piece. Delivery took about two weeks from the time of order so I didn't want to send it back. The fact that the panels are pretty flimsy made it all the easier to install. Just make sure you spread the glue evenly on the walls. This was our second shower using this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from cheap, but just what i needed product arrived on time, but one wall had two broken corners and one of the corner pieces was broken. re-ordered, which is another story in itself. back wall, which i cut to size by scoring with sharp knife and snapping off excess, went up easy. before putting on adhesive (use the quick grab adhesive made for shower walls for best and easiest installation - took a full tube per wall), i placed it against the wall and marked the area with a pencil than applied the adhesive to the wall, troweled it out, and put the shower wall against the adhesive. it stuck to the wall nicely and i didn't need to tape it up while the adhesive set. same technique for the other two walls. use the box it was shipped in to make a template for the wall where you need to cut out for the shower head and mixing handle. the product is thin and floppy so watch that you don't bend it too much and break it. because it is thin, if you don't spread the adhesive evenly you will be able to feel it beneath the wall. I troweled, put up the wall, then used a 4" roller to push out any air pockets and smooth out the surface. i put this up in a rental unit so i figure it will get plenty of abuse. hopefully it will hold up. use a good quality silicone caulk under the bottom of the walls where it meets up with the pan. i'm a fairly competent home handyguy but this product does not take a lot of know how to put up. goes up easy. never had to call my wife for help!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, easy to install, not thick but does the job, great price. Installed item over old ceramic tile to update the look. I incorporated an 8 inch glass tile shelf above the installation with white molding which made it really stand out. The corner shelves are great, didn't have any original shelves. Totally pleased with the outcome of this product. Completed the rest of the bathroom with wainscot and a new vanity with a granite top. It all looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect We purchased this for our motorhome. It worked out perfect and looks awesome! Had to do some trimming of the side and length, which was easy. This shower unit looks SO much better than the traditional RV showers and saved us hundreds of dollars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flimsy This shower wall kit was to replace one I had to remove to replace flooring. Yes, it was inexpensive and I should have known something would not be right. The material is VERY thin and flimsy. But, it works okay and is easy to install - IF you have good smooth support walls. I used a caulk tube type adhesive and the wall material is so thin I can feel the glue when I run my hand across the shower wall (like when cleaning it). Functionality is okay, but quality is not very impressive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple easy and quick! Does the job I installed this product along with a Dura base which btw is much nicer then the walls themselves. Installation took about 2 hours after the base was set. I used it to make at 32x32 shower enclosure next to my jacuzzi hot tub as a temporary solution and plan a larger enclosure at a later date. I also used Liquid Nail as the adhesive and after three weeks it seems to be doing just fine. The only complaint I have is that the only place I can put my body wash is on the top shelf and being only 5 ft 6 inches tall it means I have to take the bottle down to activate the pump action.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Five Piece Glue-up Shower Wall - Looks Great I installed the nicely designed Five Piece Glue-up Shower Wall - Looks Great. I put it over the existing tiles (even though it was not recommended). My shower tiles were solidly in place bearing no lose tiles or caulking and therefore will hold up the surround walls with no problem. I used Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive (six tubes) and (one tube) of GE silicon for kitchen/bathroom caulk for the edges. The shower surround plastic material trims pretty easy with a single edge razor. Recommended...Use the cardboard the shower surround came as a template by transposing your required measurements and cut outs for the knobs/showerhead to the cardboard
