Product Overview

Group metering is a service entrance product line that consists of a main device and multiple meter sockets in one enclosure or several connected enclosures. Group metering allows the customer to install a multiple tenant-metering device in one location while providing a space and installation cost savings.Install this Eaton Cutler-Hammer 125 Amp 4-Socket Ring Meter Socket where underground-fed electrical wiring enters a building. Its wire saddle is notched so that it will grip wires to ensure connectivity, and its cover is constructed with anti-pry rivets for security. This meter socket is UL listed and ANSI certified for safety.

  • Meter socket amp rating is 125 amps
  • Number of meter sockets is 4
  • Bus Rating is 400A
  • Rated NEMA 3R for outdoor use
  • Meter stacks embody a one-piece busbar construction to each socket, as well as a one-piece cross bus to each tenant main. Because the Eaton design uses the Clip-Tight meter socket and does not have busbar joints, the chance of hot spots occurring is virtually eliminated

Customer Questions & Answers

how is lt tnstalled?

Asked by: sparky1955
It comes with a bracket you screw to the wall, the meter hangs off that bracket. Once satisfied with your wiring methods/height there are 4 spots to lag it to the building

3/0 wire

I am using a 3/0 wire feed , but the maximum size lug that eaton makes is for 2/0. Does anyone have any ideas other than trimming the Guage on the 3/0 a little to fit the 2/0 Lug? Ive been looking for a compatible 3/0 Lug to no avail.
Asked by: Clinton
are you talking about the line (pri. side of mtr stack) or where is the 3/0 copper being used, 3/0 copper is only good for 200 amps and the mtr stack is a 400amp bus rating so wont work on pri-side us for sec. side you need #2 thhn copper wire good for 130 amps . this is the wire that will feed a load center

yes you can by using a myers type hub on top you will need to cut a hole in the top with a hole saw or punch & die cut per conduit size and you will be good
