Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work in a Challenger circuit breaker bo

Asked by: Roger
It will work in a Challenger panel. However, if there was a Challenger panel in my house, I would see about getting the panel replaced by a licensed electrician. While you are in the store buying the circuit breaker, maybe you should pick up a home fire extinguisher.

Will this breaker work in an old General Switch panel?

Asked by: Scott
If you check the label inside the panel door I think you will find that one of the acceptable breakers for a General Switch panel is a Bryant Type BR. The Eaton/Cutler-Hammer Type BR breaker is the Bryant replacement so the answer to your questions is yes, this is the correct U.L. Listed breaker to fit your panel.

30 Amp 1 in. Single-Pole Type BR Replacement Circuit Breaker is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rebuilding a 1995 travel trailer that originally had 2 circuits... Rebuilding a 1995 travel trailer that originally had 2 circuits on the shore power section of the converter. I wanted to add an electric water heating tank. Research showed me that 3 or more circuits needed a 30 amp main breaker added to the power panel. Found this breaker online, but alas, it was not available at my store. It was relatively inexpensive.Ordered it and it arrived via "ship to store" option in a few days. when I went to pick it up I fulfilled a lengthy shopping list of other items I needed for this project. It was an easy install and so far it has been passing current from the shore power connection on to the 4 circuits that light up the trailer and heat the water.
