Answer:
To power an RV with this receptacle no GFI is needed. If a GFI is in the circuit, the GFI would trip immediately upon plugging in the shore power line & the RV could not receive power. GFI protection is provided by RV circuits, if required for safety.

However we do carry a 30-Amp 250-Volt Hart-Lock Industrial Grade Receptacle - Black and White Internet # 206469308. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No Frills RV Outlet Since I mounted the outlet in close proximity to my electrical main, I did not need to have a disconnect breaker housed within the RV plug for an additional $25.00. Installation was straightforward using a pre-made 30AMP Liquid Tight connection kit which is also sold at Home Depot. I also like the fact that the door opens upwards vs to one side so that the plug is protected from the elements since most RV cords have a built in handle which takes up more space not allowing for the lid to fully close. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! Was shocked this item was only $26! Works just perfect for plugging in my camper! August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It does the job It should have had a 120v receptacle in it as the cabinet is larger January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Home RV Hookup Bought and installed this RV outlet myself so I could plug in my travel trailer at home and not need to use extension cords and adapters. Mounts with three small lags or large screws. Printed electrical hookup schematic was included. I'm not an electrician but was able to mount, wire and attach to the fuse box in about 30 minutes. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality product Arrived complete and well packaged. Installs easily. A nice installation feature is that the interior front plate pivots upward and out of the way of the mounting holes. You don't have to dissamble the entire unit to install it. Comes with generous knock-outs, but on the bottom only. That changed the way I wanted to route my conduit, but still turned out really good. This is a must have for any RVer that wants to provide sufficient current and amp rating to the unit while parked at home. Buy a 120VAC/30A breaker matched to your load center, wiring of sufficient gauge for the length of your routing, conduit, glue, and fittings where needed (I used 1" Sch80 PVC) 3 fasteners and washers for mounting to your structure or post, a tube of caulk if you don't have one. Permit and inspection where required. In a couple hours my RV was enjoying a lovely supply of electricity, sufficient to run Air Conditioning without any problems. September 22, 2015
