Answer:
Yes, ECO-heaters can be hardwired. Because of the different local electrical codes, we no longer furnish hardwiring instructions. Please contact a electrician in your area to make sure that local electrical codes permit hardwiring and any permits/inspections are conducted according to local ordinances.

The unit is just warm. It is not real warm. We put a fireplace grate attached by 4 L brackets to keep our children and pets from running into the unit.

5. If you lose power the temp is re-set to 72 degrees.

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 400 Watt wall panel Heater replacement Received replacement heater for one that didn't work and the new one is working great! These heaters are quite different from a regular wall heater. It comes preset at 72 degrees, you'll want to bump that up to about 98 while the heater is warming. It takes quite awhile about a day in my case ( remember this is like having four 100 watt lightbulb heating the panel) once it hit 98 I began to lower to about 90. I have mine set this high to keep a litter of puppies warm in their kennel, as they get older i will begin to lower. With the first two I received I didn't realize how they worked, one was definitly broken the other was probably fine. It's pretty amazing once it hit's temp, much safer and energy efficient than a regular fan heater:) January 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, easy to install I had hoped installing this in the master bath would keep the bathroom toasty while providing some extra heat for the bedroom, too. Unfortunately, that's just asking a bit much. The heater works great for the bathroom when the door is closed, but it really can't do it's job when it's trying to heat both areas. Nevertheless, I am impressed enough with it that I'm ordering a second one just like it for the bedroom. I believe that I'll get the results I need by placing one in each room. January 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cracked multiple places in the first week it never really cranked out much heat and now that it cracked several places i think it heats even less. will definitely return. January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 in a row Two in a row, both lasted under thirty days and barely kept up when it was working January 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quality product arrived undamaged and packaged well. Easy to install and seems to work as advertised. I have it in a small laundry room (5 X 10) So far temperature outside has not been below 32 deg and is keeping room at 72 deg. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smart Safe Green Heat a lot of soft warmth for 400 watts! Energy efficiency is great, temp. comfort and clean low-profile design. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by we bought one last year for a master bedroom and love it we bought one year one year ago and now we are ordering 2 more because we enjoyed the first one so much it made our room feels so much better we live in Minnesota its very cold here October 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works pretty well You have to make sure to put the temp sensor at the bottom as well as pull the temp sense out, otherwise, it won't read correctly. Does a good job heating up our RV bedroom. I installed it on a wall that was not insulated as per other reviewers recommendations, and think that made good sense. I'm happy enough with it that we're thinking about getting another for the living room. Another suggestion would be to wipe off the powder on both front and back before the first use. You also want to use the heat shield that it comes with. I didn't use the sticky backing.. I just pinned it (literally) to the wall. December 17, 2014
