I see that "all hardware" is included. Does that mean that you get a spike for each individual hole? EXACTLY how many spikes come in the landscape edging (6-Pack)?

Answer:
There are four spikes provided for each four foot section of edging. Not all would necessarily be needed for a straight run, but would be needed if the edging was formed into a curve.

Why is a six pack more expensive

This question is from 4 ft. Black Rubber Landscape Edging (6-Pack)

I would think a six pack would cost less then purchasing 6 individual pieces. Individual pieces are $9.97, a 6 pack is $67.97. Doesn't make sense to me.

I figured the price increase really helps covers "free" shipping (which is still a good deal).

Answer:
I'm guessing that the additional cost is for the parts included to join the 4' long pieces together plus the spikes to anchor the strips to the ground.

Answer:
My guess would be that the extra cost is for the "free" shipping. The brown, sold in stores, is very dark. You may want to stop by a store and see if that color would work for you. It looks good with our black mulch.

Answer:
From the installation instructions, the manufacturer suggests: "If a cut is needed, cut with a handsaw, hacksaw, or electric saw. Use a miter box for a more accurate cut. If using an electric saw, give the blade a light spray of lubricant to aid in the cutting."
If cutting with a hand saw, a simple miter box would assist in both holding the edging and also assuring accurate straight or 90 degree cuts.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A quality product and easy to install We used 2 similar edging products on an project and the EcoBorder was by far the better product. The quality and ease of install were far superior. Though they looked very similar and were the same price, the quality of the 2 products was not at all equal. The EcoBorder was easy to install and came with twice the installation hardware as the other brand (Rubberific) who didn't even had predrilled holes. With any rubber edging, cutting the edging for corners could be challenging for anyone not familiar with using a hacksaw and miter. Save yourself a lot of effort and buy the EcoBorder. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best edging i have found This edging is a little pricey but, it is the best i have found for staying where you put it and for mowing and weed whacking around it. I have had it down for 4 years now and it looks as good as when i put it down, made of recycled tires so will last forever. Easy to put down bends around curves and long pins hold it firmly in place. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Very good product. Just installed it 3 weeks ago. much stronger and heavier than expected which is great. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product for intended use. Very flexible and looks to be durable material. Was able to conform to the present landscape layout as well as the new design layout. all the material was included sure as stakes and the tie rods to link the sections together. Multiple colors let you choose the various designs compatibility to the landscape plantings. Cost was high but when compared to the alternative of concrete edging was in the ball park. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So many compliments Bought this edging to replace bricks placed around our flower beds. The bricks had to be removed twice a year, clear cut edged, lifted and dirt added to raise them, and remove the runners from our turf that would go between the bricks. Pressure washing also was a requirement. Although our new border did not come out perfectly tight due to some of the bends we needed, we are very pleased with the product and have twice since ordered additional. As others have suggested, installation of the curving pieces followed by the straighter it much easier to manage. A bit expensive but the hoped for elimination of former maintenance will be worth it. Now that the front is almost finished dear hubby wants to continue the edging all around our house. When we moved into our house 5 years ago I hoped to put concrete edging around the beds. But this edging was easy to do and gives flexibility that concrete can't in the event we want to make changes later on. We have had many compliments from neighbors about how the black we choose gives the yard a rich, neat, clean look. March 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Black Color Ecoborder Rubber Edging Material Yes, it is a little expensive. I ordered this product in hopes it would be prove to be durable with easy installation. I had positive results with the installation process. The spikes pound easily into pre-fitted holes. The edging material went in to place quickly, however I had to be creative with joining ends at one corner. It looks good, although there are one or two gaps where the ground is not perfectly even. It is much to early for me to comment in regard to long term performance of the product. That said, I am optimistically purchasing more of the edging material to finish my yard. I would recommend, leveling the ground in preparation for the most positive installation results. June 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent addition for a perfectly manicured lawn or landscape We looked for moths for a product that would address several landscape problems we had. We needed something that would eliminate edged grass from going in the pool, something to keep expensive mulch in the beds not in the grass and something that was visually appealing. EcoBorder is the one and only product we needed. I love the fact that it is a recylced item (recycled tires) and my husband loves that it will last forever. We have ordered this item now 3 times. We love it so much, we are doing the side yards AND the front yard as well. Our neighbors are always commenting how well manicured our yard is. September 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by borders for beautiful beds We looked at a lot of different options for adding some definition to our landscaping beds, and this product exceeded our expectations. Heavy-duty, long-lasting, flexible and very easy to install - this product quickly added the definition we were looking for. With this edging in place we will no longer have mulch and dirt spilling over our sidewalk or drive. We used an electric saw to Mitre the corners. Just gave a very clean look. April 9, 2013
