This unique edging will go just about anywhere and will inspire you to think outside the boxy lines of boring old-style borders. It makes circles around the trees to neatly separate the bark from the rocks and curved borders everywhere else. I changed my mind about the design after beginning this project and easily moved and reinstalled the affected edging without any problems. We love it!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Blowens Great product horrible customer service
Product looks great but came with no hardware. I waited a month to get the pallet of Eco Boarder when it arrived no hardware. I'm still waiting for the hardware. Horrible customer service at Homedepot and I shop there a lot and always had good help. They dropped the ball on this order

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by User0853 Excellent for straight runs
This works well if you have straight runs and your curves only require a single piece. I found that if you have to join pieces on the curve, a gap will form on the connection. The sharper the turn, the worse the gap. I had one sharp turn that the little pegs wouldn't hold in place. I had to put in wedges to hold the piece in place. You could cut the pieces so that they meet more smoothly, but I found cutting them to be a pain. I often had to re-cut the piece multiple times as you can't make fine adjustments to an existing cut.
I have also broken the heads off several of the stakes while trying to pound them in. It is especially challenging when the head gets below the rise, the hammer bounces off the rubber rise. I added a would block between the hammer and stake to fix this.
But I am fairly happy with it. I've gotten lots of positive feedback from the neighbors and visitors.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by weekendwarrior Nice product
This was relatively easy to install and it gives the yard great curb appeal. The mower goes right up against the edging so there is no need to use the string trimmer. The spikes do break easily so it would have been helpful for Home Depot to sell extra hardware separately. We had to order the extra spikes directly from the manufacturer. It was relatively easy to cut but harder to make it go in a circle around a tree. Since it was recently installed, it is yet to be known how this will look in 3 or 4 years so hopefully the huge cost of this edging will be worth it in the long run. We are not avid gardeners so we opt'd for the brown rubber mulch which was an even bigger investment. The mocha brown rubber mulch looks amazing next to this brown eco-border and it looks like wood chips. We have had numerous neighbors and passerby folks stop and ask about the edging and mulch and all have been very impressed.

Very easy to install, though could use some instructions (figured it out, would have saved some time). Looks really good and environmentally friendly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aitch Pretty simple to install!
I purchased the Eco Border to edge several areas of my yard. I was able to install it myself with little difficulty. It is very easy to assemble and install, and very durable. The only difficulty I had with it is when making a somewhat sharp curve. When the curve is concave, there are no problems. When making a curve the other way (like a circle around a tree), it gets tricky trying to keep the pieces connected in a manner that looks good. Otherwise, this is an awesome product that I am very satisfied with!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bmnac Flexible, easy to install but not without flaws.
We had a really poor metal edging job installation in December. It was so bad we fired the contractor and ripped out all the metal edging. We began searching for an alternative to metal and found this product. Initially we bought 3 pieces just to see the product quality and how workable it would be to do a DIY project. The first three pieces looked good and we went on the company's website for installation instructions. Since we were going to put down almost 300 feet of edging we ordered a pallet for a bulk of the job needs and picked up 30 or so more pieces directly at the store.
This product is light years easier than metal to install. It is made from recycled tires and that's a good thing. The mower edge feature is great, no more weed whacking around the finished edge! If you need to make cuts it can be done with a hand saw. It is easy to secure to the ground with the supplied hardware. It can be installed backwards for a boxed in type of effect along cement walkways and plant beds. It is bendable up to 70 degrees.
This product appears to be made using some type of molding process and some of the pieces have varying differences in the top edge dimensions(thickness) which result in uneven match when you hook them together. There are also some cosmetic flaws in the top edge that leave pock marks in the finished product. You can cut this product with a hand or hack saw but it will take some effort. On long runs the product is a little bit wavy but no more than metal. It is only bendable up to 70 degrees after that, get your saw ready for some cutting.
The bottom line is:
Except for some minor manufacturing issues the end result can be pleasing. We put all 300 feet in ourselves( around 10 hours) and saved over 800.00 compared to the contractor installed metal edge. If this product wears as well as the recycled tire mulch I have seen in the past, it will be well worth the investment. Just take your time prepping the job and install it as described on their website.
