Can You Drive Over This With A Car?

I have a stone driveway and at the entrance (where the driveway and street meet) stones get "kicked "out in the street as vehicles enter or leave. I was thinking a strip in this area would help. Can a vehicle drive over this edging without causing damage?
Asked by: MarkyMark
I wouldn't think so.

How does the Curb landscape edging install?

I saw a video of the L shaped version but can't visualize how this looks when installed or where the hole is for this type of edging.
Asked by: curlyred
By using the supplied about 10" long plastic spikes.

4 ft. Green Rubber Curb Landscape Edging (4-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 76.

I'm not sure if my placement will allow me to "mow" over them. But it is definitely a curb appealing improvement; and looks great w/ black mulch and fall flowers / liriope. The delivery was quick - arriving 2 days (Oct. 2016) after the order was placed. I would buy it again. Installation: This product was relatively easy to manage & install by myself with a little ingenuity/strength when connecting the pieces: Lesson Learned #1: You definitely needed another person to hold one on the pieces to force them together; or brace the end of one against a solid object/wall. Lesson Learned #2: Have your top soil at hand. Lesson Learned #3: Buy more spikes! Improvements needed: 1) The instructions are sparse - needs pictures! and the bottom (which side goes on the ground) clearly indicated (I scratched my head for a few minutes trying to determine top from bottom). And ultimately, I wasn't sure I got it right! 2) There are not enough stakes/spikes included. AND the dimensions of the stakes are not listed on the packaging or Home Depot's website. The included spikes may be sufficient for a straight application, but definitely not for a curved one. Home Depot (in-store / on-line) does not carry additional stakes that match these, unless they are hidden in hardware. Ultimately, I purchased 4 packs of a much shorter stake (Dimex's ProFlex Paver Edging Anchoring Spike Pack, (qty 8) 8 in. spikes). Home Depot Improvements: - Start carrying Ecoborder's additional spikes/connectors. (http://ecoborder.3dcartstores.com/-SUPPLIES-AND-ACCESSORIES_c_8.html) - List the dimensions, quantity, material of the included spikes in the specifications. - Add a link to the "appropriate size" spike that they do carry on the product page.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great and is easy to install I have only owned this product for a month, so keep that in mind about my review. I bought this product to separate my grass from my mulch and river rock without the need for digging to create a landscape edge. I originally wanted what looks similar to this product in individual stone pieces versus four foot sections. I was unable to find anything that looked similar to this in stone at this retailer or the other two competing retailers in my area. So, I went with this and I am glad I did. This product is easy to install. You pound four hard plastic stakes in the ground per section and attach each section to each other with two recessed plastic dowels. You can compete four foot sections in less than five minutes depending on what existing landscape you have to move around (rocks, mulch, plants). If you have any hidden rocks or concrete under the stake your are trying to pound in the ground, the stake will break. So, if your edging around existing rock make sure you dig up the hidden rocks that might be beneath where you are placing your edging. This product is bendable for landscape that curves, but only so much. I believe the product description states that is can be bent up to 60 degrees. What I found is that the more you bend it, the more upright it wants to lay on your lawn. If your looking at a photo of the edging, it has a nice slant to it from front to back. That slate will become more and more straight up and down the more you bend the product. I think it looks fine that way where it is needed. One bad thing about bending this product is that it isn't good to transition between two separate pieces of this product on a sever bend. It would be best to plan your sever bends to end up in the middle of individual pieces. This product is a bit of a work out to cut when you come to the end of your landscape and have too much edging. I tried using an electric reciprocating saw without any success. I tried a regular hand saw with success, but it took forever to cut. The best tool that I had for this was a coping saw. The coping saw sawed it the fastest. The material also saws the fastest between ridges. If you can, you will want to saw between ridges versus on a ridge. I am not too sure how durable the color is. The edging is black on the inside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than pavers and paver edge Looks great and easy to install. There were two types of stakes included in my order. The stakes with the larger head worked best as they were less likely to break. Most effective pattern is using every other hole and on both sides of connection points. This product made a really quick job of my project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Easy to assemble. Love that it's recycled! So glad Home Depot carries this product. I don't like ordering from a company I'm not familiar with. It was a bit expensive, but worth every penny!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Idea I purchased this product to line my walkway and kid's play area. First off, this product cannot make a 15 degree curve, let alone a 90 degree one. The two pieces pull apart even on the slightest curve. Second, installed this product 4 months ago, and it faded drastically. I think I would only recommend this product in Seattle where the sun is barely out, and on a completely straight path.
