We filter just about all of our drinking water through our Brita pitcher. Whether we are making coffee, tea or just a glass full on ice, it comes from our pitcher that sits on our kitchen counter by the sink. So we are constantly refilling the pitcher several times per day. Having to wait on a slow filter to fill the pitcher is like watching paint dry or grass grow, if you know what I mean. So naturally, a fast filter would be heartily welcomed. The EcoPure filter perfectly fits just what we need. It cuts the time in half that it takes to fill the pitcher now - it's very fast and we couldn't be happier! It's very small, about a third less than the Brita, but it still fits snugly in the pitcher. The water tastes just as good as the Brita also. It's faster and cheaper; it's our new filter from now on. Five plus stars!

The EcoPure Pitcher Filter works much faster than the Brita filter and doesn't have to be soaked first. The water tastes the same to me when using this filter, and, I appreciate not having to hang around the sink waiting for the pitcher to fill ! I fill my Brita each evening after adding water to the coffeemaker - This is the last thing I do before heading to bed and sometimes I find myself annoyed because it's taking so-o-o-o long for the pitcher to refill. At first I didn't think it would work in my Brita because of the difference in size. However, the circumference is the same and it fit just fine. This filter is an economical replacement filter for my Brita!

Compared to Britta, Pur or other brand water pitcher filters, these are much smaller in size and lighter in weight. I'm not sure what kind of water filtration technology these EcoPure filters use, but they have grooves and holes in them (see picture) and inside you can see something akin to a vacuum cleaner filter. So they are not filled with carbon dust like the major brand filters and there are no black carbon particles that can end up floating in your filtered water. That's definitely a plus. Another plus is that you don't have to pre-soak them. When you need to change filters, you just put the EcoPure filter in your water pitcher, fill it with water and it will start filtering right away and quite quickly. I haven't tested them extensively enough to say that water filtered through the EcoPure filters tastes better or worse than through other brand filters. I'm using these filters in an HDX (Home Depot) water pitcher and I found that when I fill it with too much water, the filter pops out of place a little, resulting in unfiltered water to mix with the filtered water. The remedy I guess is to not fill the pitcher to the max with water. I'm not sure if this will be a problem with the Britta or Pur water pitchers or if these EcoPure filters are just better designed for those brands of water filtration pitchers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mastadruma Perfect fit for my Brita pitcher!
I use the standard issue Brita pitcher in my home for cold daily drinking water, always ready in the refrigerator. Brita recommends you change the filter every 2 months and I found that these alternative filters work just as good as the name brand ones. They are shorter than the stock filters and don't require the 15 minute presoak that the carbon filters ask for. These are designed to filter up to 40 gallons of water and are best designed to eliminate chlorine taste and any bad odors. Just remember to press firmly on the filter when installing into the filter, for a nice snug fit. The mfg states that their cellular technology allows their filters to pass water faster than the conventional ones. This is good for those of you in a rush to get the pure water you desire!

These filters are awesome! I had been fighting with those nasty black carbon pieces in the pitcher and reservior for years not knowing that all filters are not created equal. The EcoPure company has addressed this very frusterating occurance. I have been using this filter for about 5 weeks and have not seen even one of the carbon particles, I am a believer. This product also claims to filter the water faster and it did not disappoint. It was significatly faster than my old Brita. The last but what I would consider the most significant feature of the EcoPure was the quality of filtered water. My husband is very picky about smells and taste. He was never satisfied before and often reached for bottled. This filter blew his mind, great product!

We keep this pitcher on the counter next to our Keurig Coffee Maker. Our water at home is very hard. The filter removes those impurities so that there is no build up in our coffee maker. We have purchased a second one to go in the fridge for cold drinking water. There is no taste in the water now and it is enjoyable to drink more which leads to healthier family members.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vball Better Replacement than Brand Name Filter
I purchased these as I was unhappy with the black granules that were found in my Brita Pitcher after replacing their filters. I would have to throw out the first pitcher of water and clean out the pitcher to remove the black granules with the Brita replacement filters. There were no black granules or wasted water using the EcoPure filter. I also found the EcoPure filter was much faster filtering water than the comparable Brita filter. It is a great value and I highly recommend using this filter. As I researched this filter, I found that it will fit most major brands of water pitchers currently on the market.

I've used this filter for 3 pitchers full of water now and am really happy with the filter. It fits my Brita pitcher easily--no struggling to get it in correctly and the filtered water tastes pure.
