These lights boldly state they have a 7 yr limited warranty, but there is no information on the package or in the package stating the what the warranty covers. What exactly does the warranty cover?

Answer:
These light sets include a 7 year warranty. (The first 5 years through Santa's Best and the last 2 years through Home Depot)
As for the portion of the warranty covered through Santa's Best, replacement bulbs and fuses are covered. If neither of these parts can fix a defect set, the customer will then need to mail their set into Santa's Best for repair or replacement.

I have a technical question about these that isn't addressed in the specifications.
Also, it seems like HD is limiting its selection of these rather than expanding. I just wonder if they are sold under a different brand elsewhere.
In both cases it would be good to know the actual manufacturer.
It is not Lighting Science Group, I already checked with them.

Thanks.

Answer:
Lighted length is 49 feed 7 inches. The extra cord length on either end is fairly short, though I don't have the measurements.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 49 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They Work Great I purchased 2 reels of these lights this year to replace our old style incandescent light strings. But I thought 2 reels wouldn't be enough so I bought a third reel - and that was a good choice. Though the third reel was a different lot number - the light color matched the others just fine. Some reviews said that different lots could be different color or intensity but that wasn't the case for me. The fact that they are warm white and not that bright harsh light that most people envision when they think of LED Christmas lights was what attracted me to these. They were easy to put on the tree and really made the thing POP! December 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good, but not for long... I bought 4 reels of these lights 2 seasons ago. They all worked great that year and looked nice. The next year, only one strand was fully illuminated. I bought 4 new reels, and HD exchanged the ones that didn't work for me. Very good customer service! This year, 2 more of them had sections that did not light up. I was able to repair those sections, but today as I look out my front window, two new sections are dark again. I have other lights that have lasted 4 years. Not impressed with this kind of price tag. I would steer clear of this brand in the future. December 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality Picked up these to replace some aging outdoor strands for which I'm tired of replacing dead bulbs every year. These are very good quality. The advertised "flicker free" works, no noticeable flicker, compared to almost all other brands and models sold in this and other stores. Warm white is good, they're definitely less blue than some other warm white one I picked up elsewhere, though they are a bit less warm than real incandescent bulbs. The "weatherproof" design means the reflective cover screws onto the base over the LED lamp. Looks like a good design...time will tell. They are quite bright, and the faceted cover makes the whole length look bright. They come on a nice spool for storage, if that matters to you. December 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eco Smart 150 Mini Lights Bought 4 spools of 150 lights (600 lights total) which was more than enough for a full 7 1/2 size tree. 3 spools would have worked fine but the extra 150 lights made for a spectacular looking tree. Got lots of compliments on the lighting. The lights were uniform in color & brightness and the wiring feels very sturdy. So much better than my older incandescent mini lights that these LED lights replaced. January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great lights Lights look great on the house. I've used Eco Smart lights for a number of years now and they hold up from year to year. (I think my oldest set of lights is now 3 years old). I've never had a problem with the wiring separating or part of the string going out. Every year we keep expanding our outside light display and I will definitely keep buying and using these lights. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better tham some lights I had these lights up all year because I hung them in high trees and when I lit them up they all worked. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Long Lasting! Bought these to brighten up my AZ patio...2 sets of 100 were on a dusk to dawn timer EVERY day for 3-1/2 years...no joke! Also noteworthy is that they endured Az's 116° summer heat. They are amazing & I love that they don't look blue from a distance. After 3 years I tried to buy replacement sets & found they were not available in the summer. Luckily mine held out until I could buy my back-up sets in December last year. Would rate them a 10 if I could! December 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas tree extraordinaire I decided to completely change the lights on our 4 section 12ft incandescent bulb lit tree with these warm white led versions since we were starting to have many original light string failures and adding cheap strings to continue using it was starting to make it look bad. We Purchased 22 of these 150 warm white led light strings. This may seem like a lot but looking at the prices of a new 12ft synthetic tree would have been at a minimum 2x what we spent on these lights. Although it is not for the weak of heart ! To remove and install these light took at least 30 hours if not a bit more but it was worth it in the end. I did have 2 out of box failures which had to get replaced but Home Depot was very easy to deal with in these regards. Plus 6 months SAC on the Home Depot card was even better ! To spread the joy of the season and make it much easier on the pocket book. Note although they are warm white I would suggest placing them on a dimmer circuit. I ran them at about 85 volts on our dimmer circuit this not only kept them at a nice glowing look, they should last even longer. The warm white is not quite as warm as incandescent light but they do a good job. They definitely do not have any of that blue tint to them. Pros: quality thick construction. Easy to replace LEDs if necessary. Includes 2 LEDs per string. The color of the wire blends well with the tree. Construction seems sturdy, built to last ? Time will tell. Led's are diffused with a real looking tip. So your tree looks like it has bulbs on it not LEDs. Cons: wire is thick and has 4 strands not 3 like the traditional lights so the thickness can be a problem to hide when wrapping on a tree like we did. But the color blended well and you could hardly tell they wires were there afterwards. December 25, 2013
