CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hey, I'm the first reviewer! I recently changed all the bulbs in my house to CFCs (with the exception of the ceiling fans and some appliance bulbs). All the bulbs I purchased came from Home Depot and are EcoSmart Daylight. I really like the color of the light they give off, and hopefully they'll last a long time. Maybe there will be some health benefit from utilizing the full spectrum. You can read other reviews of Daylight bulbs. My understanding is "full spectrum" is not a technical term. It's a catch phrase for lights which mimic daylight. To meet that criteria, the bulbs must have a color temperature greater than 5000 degrees Kelvin. These bulbs do so. (And here's a hint-- daylight bulbs emit cool, often blueish light. Look for blue packaging.) I purchased twelve of the 19-Watt (75W) bulbs. None failed on install. Where I could, I used the 100 Watt equivalent product instead. The 75s are a bit shorter than the 100s. They work well in the bathroom, bedroom. For table lamps, the traditional incandescent casts a better light. Because of the long stem, these tend to throw light up, instead of down. Hopefully, the technology will improve over time in that regard. April 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Used as replacements for table lamp bulbs. Brighter, more efficient. December 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent bulbs IF you can get them on sale. I bought these bulbs 2 for $6. Being daylight bulbs, this is currently what you would consider a good price. I must say the bulbs are EXCELLENT sources of light. They are very bright and are not that dark yellow color that you see in most bulbs. In my opinion, they are most suitable for garages, living rooms, kitchens, home gyms, or home offices. I wouldn't install them in bedrooms because they are very bright -- which is excellent when you need to see clearly, but not so excellent when you're winding down for the night. I originally had 75W standard CFL bulbs in my office space. Since I work from home, having a bright work area was important to me. These bulbs fit the bill well and I'm very pleased with the overall results. One con that should definitely be mentioned is that the bulbs take a minute to warm up before they achieve their full brightness. Honestly this is very undesirable and I would much prefer to have LED bulbs (instant on full bright), but I'm making do with these because I spent a total of $12 for 4 bulbs, instead of roughtly $60 for the same with LEDs. I still plan to replace these with LED can lights next year. June 3, 2014
