I have some of these bulbs and would like to put them on a dimmer switch. I know that it's critically important to use the "right" dimmer model. How do I find the correct dimmer for these bulbs?
Asked by: RiverRat37
Some dimmers include lists of acceptable bulbs. Maybe try the various manufacturers websites.

25W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) B11 Clear Blunt Tip Decorative Dimmable LED Light Bulb is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent replacement bulb I could not be happier with the LED bulb technology and this bulb is no exception. Great shape for my antique fixture and the fact that it does not get hot is a huge benefit for my fabric shade. These are for indoor use only, in open fixtures. I think the brightness is excellent and the concept of not needing to change bulbs frequently is fantastic. A much better solution to lighting than CFLs which have environmental, color and esthetic issues. I hope the longevity will be as promised. Less environmental impact is a welcome technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Put 4 of these in a ceiling fan with 4 exposed lights (clear beveled glass covers) and they look just as good as the incandescents they replaced (even the wife approved). I closely compared these to the Philips Equivalent (150, 180 & 200 lumens bulbs, all with the same HD SKU#) and these were slightly brighter and, in my opinion, looked more decorative (less industrial; the Philips bulbs did not seem to be as soft white and they did not have an even a dispersion as ecoSmart. And both claimed the same 22+ year life (I'm saving my receipts ;-). Just wish they discounted for quantities, seems like I should get a better deal when I buy more (like 4 at a time). Also wish the store kept more in stock; had to go to 2 stores to find 4 matching bulbs. And as I write this review, I can't get more than 3 from my adjacent stores (3 within 5 miles - so spoiled).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Four Watts of Bright Light! • Very Bright • Creates Almost No Heat • Lasts 18 Years While using only 4 watts, this little bulb provides much more light than the 25 watt incandescent bulb it replaced in my desk lamp. It really surprised me; in fact, I alternating kept placing the old and then the new bulb into the lamp and the difference was amazing! This is a little powerhouse. And it's rated to last 18 years with normal use (3-4 hours of use per day)! HINT: If you find the bulb a bit too bright or too harsh, do what I sometimes do with LED's: Since they create little or no heat, you can safely wrap a piece of yellow paper around it and tape it securely in place for a softer, warm glow. With this small bulb you might try a medium-sized Post-It!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low energy replacement for accent lights I've had this in a wall sconce unit for a few days now and the brightness is as good or better than an old incandescent. Color is close, very very close, but LEDs still have a slightly unnatural hue to them. I only notice because I'm running one sconce with the LED bulb and one with an incandescent so I can do a side by side comparison. If both were LED I doubt I would notice the color. Heat output is zero. My incandescent unit is hot to the touch after just a few minutes of use, this unit can run all night and be as cool as an "off" bulb. Overall I would call it an excellent low energy replacement.
