This was my second LED bulb purchase, after I was very pleased with a different brand's 60w equivalent. That brand did not have a 40w daylight bulb, however, so I tried this one.
This bulb has very large unlit area at the top and bottom, providing only a ring of light around the middle. The lit area is covered by two plastic deflector rings that are loose and rattle around. I also found that this bulb is about a quarter of an inch wider in the middle, which made the difference between this bulb not fitting where another LED bulb did.
I ended up having to cut off the plastic rings to make the bulb fit, leaving the ring of LEDs exposed. This worked since the bulb is in a frosted enclosure, but otherwise the size (larger than standard A19 or CFL/LED equivalent) would be a major issue.

This is a very bright light and produces a very nice white light as opposed to your yellowish shades which I personally prefer. The price was a little high, but it may end up being worth it depending on the affect on my energy bills and how long it lasts.

I was actually hoping for a warmer white light. This is a very cool white color, I do like the design of it, the light is more equal with this LED bulb, as some of them only point upward. This light has a more even output. The bulb you should know for a bulb, is well....heavy. So if you have a great spot to light, want a white light that is dimmable, this is for you!!!

This produces a great white light that is bright. I was disappointed though when I removed it from the fixture it was in the light bulb base stayed in the fixture. I removed it carefully with the light switch off. Then with a little wire bending I was able to get it back together and working. Quality could be better in my opinion.

every 6 months I would have to replace half of my light bulbs. I I would buy the 5yr bulbs, then the 7yr bulb and finally the 15yr bulbs, still had to replace some every 6 months.
I bought these ecosmart daylight dimmable LED and was able to actually forget about light bulbs.
