Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diego LEDs are the future of lighting...worth buying
I was going to replace my old CFL light bulb for my little hallway. I did my research online and read reviews. Knowing that LEDs were the best choice to replace them, I bought an 8 watt Ecosmart bulb. I was surprised how bright it was, plus I like it how its clear in color. (5000K daylight) Also its good quality you can feel. Nice how you can save money and at the same time helping the environment with using mercury free light bulbs. Even better with the 5 year warranty. It's worth what you pay for. For sure going to buy more and the EcoSmart 13-Watt bulb too. Hope my review helps potential buyers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jibberish18 Looks Great If You Like White Output
This bulb is great. Light Dispersion is wide and looks fantastic. The brightness of the bulb is a bit brighter than your typical 40w incandescent. Offers about 60 lumen's more than it's 4000k 8.5W LED brother and it is very noticeable. Color Temperature seems to be a pure white with not much if any blue in it. It's just a pure cold white. Comparable to a 5000k Compact Flourescent. Do not confuse this as with the 6500k Compact Fluorescents that many people use as those have a very noticeable bluish tint to them. I am installing two in my refrigerator to give it a more update look and to match its surroundings, which are all white to bluish LED's and Compact Fluorescents. Heavy Duty Heat Sink. If you're looking for a cold white color, look no further. This seems to be an excellent LED bulb.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BlackSandBeachRental Bright White light
Wanted to put LED in our home, due to the longevity and brightness of the bulb. They are cool and do not get hot, which was very important to us. They put out a nice amount of cool white light, not the yellow colored light.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bobgg Good For Refrigerator/Freezer Lights
I used this bulb to replace three Incandescent daylight light bulbs in a Refrigerator/Freezer. The Refrigerator compartment contained 2 40W bulbs, while the Freezer compartment contained 1 25W bulb. So instead of the lights consuming 105 Watts of power, the lights now consume 24 Watts of power. Both Refrigerator and Freezer compartments are brighter with the LED bulbs. LED bulbs are good for cold spaces, such as Refrigerator/Freezers, as they work well and start instantly at cold temperatures unlike CFLs, and LEDs have no Mercury in them to contaminate the area unlike CFLs.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Autoknow Nice light, but too much interference
I bought this LED bulb to put into my garage door opener due to the color temperature, to match the full size florescent tube fixtures in my garage.
Light is great, instant on is fantastic out in the garage, unfortunately it creates too much radio interference, so that the garage door opener remotes won't work within 40' of the opener, down the block isn't a problem, just when it gets too close.
This bulb replaced a warm white Philips unit, which caused no interference, I guess sometimes it pays to buy the name brand.
End result, great bulb, just not in garage door openers

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Edgardo A little too blue
I bought these LED 5000K lamps hoping for white light. Before, I tried some 3000K "bright white" that I took back because they were too yellow. These 5000K are a bit too bluish. Poor color rendition too, "77". Compared to several 6500K "daylight" lamps I have they seem to match more closely than some GE Chroma 50 lamps that are 5000K which I use in several fluorescent fixtures. Probably what I am after is 4000-4100K but Home Depot skips that model. Light Science makes one, HD doesn't carry it. I would only recommend this if color rendition is not important.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ZUrban Very nice LED bulb!
I have other LED bulbs and they are worth the money, Some brands do not last long despite what the box may say or poor lighting depending on where you put them or due to designs of the led. I have tried many different kinds of led bulbs and sizes. These ones produce very nice light and are very bright. They are a very unique shape but do not be fooled, ONE OF THE BEST I have used so far. The daylight produced is amazing clarity from other led bulbs I have used. I am using 8 watts for a 40 watt bulb.
