These are one of the lowest priced options I've seen, and there's a reason. They are very ugly, torpedo shape bulbs. They were the only thing available when I shopped about a year ago, now HD has a slightly better-looking flame tip available (a lot more $$). Anyway, these die way before they should -- I've had to replace 4 already (out of 12 on my chandelier). They do save a lot on my electricity bill, but I'm eager to replace them because they really don't make my beautiful cast iron chandelier look good.

I have 2 chandeliers with 5 of these each, so I ended up getting 4 packages of these. As the other reviewer said, they take a long time to warm up, and when initially turned on, it's very, very dim.
My biggest gripe is that in less than a year, 4 out of the 10 have burned out, and they're on an average of less than an hour a day.
Since these definitely are not cheap, I'd suggest trying a different brand if possible, or going LED.

These lightbulbs certainly fill the need for candelabra base daylight CFL with deco shape. Since there's not a lot of options, their availability in itself is already a plus.
I've used a fair number of CFL's before (though usually with higher power), but these are the first ones where I quickly notice how long it took them to max brightness (i.e. they're slow to ramp up). Maybe because these are lower power bulbs, I don't really know.
Note: The image on the online item description shows the package comes with 3 candelabra to standard base converters. The item code is the same whether they have the converters or not. I ended up not needing those converters, so I didn't mind when the item I picked up didn't look like what I ordered online. If you absolutely need the standard base, go to the store and make sure they have the packaging with the converters.

I got tired of frequently replacing the 25W incandescent bulbs on our front porch that are on every day sunset to sunrise. Initially tried LED replacements, but returned them because of low light output and poor light dispersion (downward, in particular). Then tried the Ecosmart 40W (2700K) LCD and they worked out quite well for this application. The soft warm color was very incandescent-like and the light output was very good with excellent coverage. I would have preferred the smaller 25W LCD bulb but they were only available in the dimmable version at twice the price in our local Home Depot. At half the cost, I can live with the bulkier 40W bulb.
